To be honest, Iā€™m about done posting. I donā€™t visit as often as there are too many keyboard warriors that want to ridicule and antagonize others.

If an OP posts old info, move on and get on w your day. Instead, folks name call and complain. And if someone disagrees, then youā€™re a troll or sunshine pumper.

And the so called insiders? There are some but Most are pretend.

I enjoy the baseball threads and may come back down the road, but life is too short to be around negativity. There are some good people on here but Iā€™m over the negativity.

I started this thread saying he was committed but some mod changed the title because my link wasn't good enough..They CHANGED THE ENTIRE TITLE!!!!! Check my threads and posts and you'll see my history NEVER includes rumors OR opinions stated as FACT!!.Now that he's "officially" committed there's NO mention of my original claim...BEYOND FRUSTRATING !!!..Now someone else claims to have the "scoop"...Never mind the fact I SAID IT FIRST!!!...bTo says ANYTHING and it's ASSUMED to be fact...I say it and they don't even let my thread title reflect what I KNEW was fact...I spent 23 years in sports broadcasting and if I post something here as what I KNOW to be fact, bank on it ...PERIOD!!!!...I don't post to troll or guess...My credibility has ALWAYS been, and WILL always be, important to me.. But bTo says HIS opinion and calls me dumb..Others posted to question what I KNEW was a fact...My "source" from a link was my reference point because it was in print..But "Fansided" was then questioned as a source as well...My actual sources, yes more than one, had GUARANTEED me he was all Vol so I started a thread to post some positive, happy news and got BLASTED !!!...Double standards suck but that's what this board has become..A prime example of SERIOUS DOUBLE STANDARDS!!...I know NUMEROUS folks owe me an apology but I know it won't happen..And neither will many future threads/posts from me and others like me..Sorry if this is long and winding but I felt like I deserved a chance to vent my frustration over how this all played out..One thing IS a fact: I scooped EVERYBODY in this forum about this committment but I know I'll never get the credit...Fine...But I posted the thread, the info and the guarantee long before the "geniuses" who trashed me when I did it...But those who care to check might actually see that this post is %100 true as well..So in the future just know I'M NOT A TROLL!!..Far from it!!..But I am sure even THIS post will be dismissed as self-serving or "dumb"....Oh well...

They changed the title because at the time Ament hadnā€™t committed to Tennessee. It was just a clickbait site trying to getā€¦.clicks. It had nothing to do with trying to piss you off. It just was false information.

If 30k posters disagree with you maybe itā€™s not themā€¦ with that said. You may actually know someone who had insight on this particular recruitment, idk. If you do, itā€™s completely messed up of you to try to steal a recruits moment for some message board cred. Youā€™ll notice the ā€œregularsā€ you complain about who bring info donā€™t do that, they may drop hints, but they donā€™t try to take the moment for themselves.

The article you posted however, was definitely just written by taking the rumors that were circulating at the time and throwing them against the wall. Fansided is not a great site and most of its writers are people trying to break into the business or they arenā€™t good enough to write for a real agency. Whoever wrote that just took what was being mentioned online and hoped for the best, and if they did have real information they are actually worse than you were in trying to just steal someoneā€™s moment for themselves.

Not to mention that you'd think anyone "with 23 years in sports broadcasting" would have enough integrity to not want to ruin the kid's moment. Additionally, someone with that kind of experience would or should know that creating a thread alluding to the idea that Ament had committed to Tennessee and attaching a rag-tag article from an unaccredited website that merely cobbles together pieces of evidence that Tennessee was the leader is pretty misleading. That isn't hardly proof of anything for someone who claims to know beyond the shadow of doubt that Ament had committed.

Furthermore, it's pretty disingenuous to come in here after he commits to bang the table about how right you were when outside of the thread title, there was no such explicit claim in the actual post...prior to Ament going public...the degree of certainty of the poster making the claim. There was no GUARANTEE or I KNOW or I SAID IT FIRST. No claim of multiple sources. So, to the public, it now just looks like this poster is clamoring for his credit for hitting on something after the fact when he didn't really stake much up front. Just another question mark for someone with 23 years of sports broadcasting.

The idea of having to explain that to someone with a notable journalism career is what makes this all the more strange.

You were in broadcasting for that length of time so you're clearly an adult. Hard to imagine something so petty and meaningless has you so upset. No offense, but it's a bit childish.
