'25 QB transfer prospects (Joey Aguilar)

“Boosters” in this case is just him. These are just his thoughts.

There are no good options at this point, every reasonable person realizes that. Nico screwed us, it is what it is. Nobody good was willing to screw their team over in the same way, which is commendable.
This. So much this. Not sure why everyone else can’t understand this.

Let’s hope Josh can coach some of the INTs out of him. He always schemes some wide open WRs down the field. Be nice to have a guy who can hit them.
For one, our offense is tailored to limit turnovers, so that should help. Probably won't alleviate it fully because he's kind of a gunslinger, but he'll throw less.

If you put Nico in an offense that throws the ball in the middle of a field last year he very easily throws more picks.

If we lose to Syracuse, Heupel better pray he doesn’t lose to the big three. Boosters won’t be happy being made fools after they have ponied up a lot of money for these recent teams.

We need another playoff appearance and to make sure Faizon signs.
So you’re a representative for boosters?

Question: If Aguilar was so good in 2023, why didn’t a bigger school with more money scoop him up?

UCLA got him for a discount and just passed him on to us for our 5 star.

What a joke. I seriously question Heupel’s judgement.
You do know in the past 15+ yrs, half of the 5* QB's end up a bust. Maybe he loved it in Boone and his Coach's. He jumped in the portal when they were fired. Maybe he's not money hungry like Nico and actually just enjoys playing the game. Especially a kid that wasn't ranked and had to actually earn his way to this position. Tell me one thing Nico has earned? When his lazy ass doesn't wanna do something, he calls his fat ass, psycho Dad. If Nico was so good, why weren't other schools lined up to get him from TN? Hell, Nico and Aguilar will be making close to the same amount.

Thank God you aren't the decision maker, you'd be giving Nico 4+ million and he didn't do $hit in the SEC play. TN came out ahead in this case. Let UCLA get slammed with bad publicity and dealing with that family.

It’d definitely not be good for him. But I think people on this board need to accept we’re not beating Cuse by 60 points. They were very solid last season and Brown is a good coach. They’re not your typical ACC pushover team like NC State was. Plus it’s week 1 with a new QB. I can absolutely see that game going poorly for us.
I would be more worried if Kyle McCord had stayed at Syracuse. He's off to the NFL, their best WR is in the portal among other's they have lost. Definitely not the same Syracuse we saw last year. Not to mention they lost to Stanford, BC and Pitt last year, who were a combined 17-21. They had weapons and a great QB last year. And a new QB that played in 3 games and has never started.

Go back to Nov of last year: ZERO people would have traded Nico for Joey. Now we should be thankful to have him?

Why are other teams able to keep their top end talent when we have to deal with situations like this? It should have been dealt with back in the winter portal either with a stronger binding contract or going ahead and cutting Nico to free up space for a new QB then. How do other teams keep their players?

That is why I question the judgement here. The school and Spyre should have never let it get to this point where they were almost extorted by off the field stuff.

Enough anger and stop the cussing. There is no need for that. I am entitled to my opinion and you are to yours. We will see who is right in the fall.

There's need for whatever I want to say and how I say it, don't like that $hit, too bad! ? Then put me on ignore! Simple as that. Nico was given a raise in the winter and that was supposed to be the end of it. Heupel and Spyre had to reason to think he would just up and skip practice. Hell, when Heupel brought in Milton after Hendon was brought in, all everyone say was former 5 star in Milton. And we all know how that DAMN story ended. Do you really think Nico was worth 4 million and the drama his family brings? And obviously they were still butthurt we brought in GMac over Madden.

But yeah, we won't know till a year or 2 down the road. But at no point did we know Nico and his Dad were Cancers until it was too late. NOBODY but UCLA wanted Nico and his drama, that is a Fkn fact! I'm betting TN gets the better end of this deal. You obviously have some unhealthy obsession with Nico. It's nasty, but your choice nonetheless. Sounds like you need to go follow him to UCLA and becya fan of them. The simple fact that you are still defending Nico after everything we've learned, is very disturbing and tells me your character is similar to theirs. Damn, $hit,Hell!

NOTHING binds the kid to the school. It has been talked about ad nauseam that the coaches gave Nico a raise (even though he didn't deserve one), and thought it was settled.

Big Nic then went and most likely ruined his son's career. They have now screwed over 2 SEC programs for UCLA. I'm not sure that anything could've been done more on Tennessee's end to prevent this. You probably would've been mad in the winter window if we let Nico walk, right?

Nico and his crew put Tennessee/CJH in an incredibly bad spot with how he went about everything

It seemed like Alt entertained it but ultimately it wasn’t the best move for his NFL future.
Don't believe he would leave his Team that just had a good season, and i Don't believe that with how much the NCAA is sniffing around the university, that we would "tamper" it's such a buisness risk and detrimental to the university if you get caught, especially considering we just got off of probation.

It’s amazing how shortsighted the thinking is by Nico’s people and anyone that supports them. He gave up so much more than just the collective $ he left on the table. I guarantee there’s not 1 damn company that wants him repping them. Not right now. If he stayed in Knoxville, won a lot of games, win some CFP games, he’s getting paid. Now he is toxic.

No way to sugarcoat it…the only winner in this deal is UCLA. I fully expect us to do something stupid and give him 3x his market value.
TN is the winner in this. UCLA gets an overrated QB who is a head case, along with his entire crazy family. Win,win for TN. You realize had bad UCLA looks with the way they did Aguilar? The dubs keep piliyup for the Vols, while UCLA keeps taking hit after hit.
