Insider or not, this is rude. @Mrpeabody8888 has been a solid contributor to this board for long enough to earn respect - whether or not any of you provide it - and he’s never himself claimed to be an insider. But I think he knows more than most, fwiw.

Also, I’m told that when all is said and done, Aguilar will practice with the rest of the team. He’ll have an assigned number just like the other QBs and Heupel will play whoever he thinks gives us the best chance to win. Balls will fly this fall!

I keep hearing this, but why didn’t coaches assess the situation better in January? Nico had a foot out door then. Would have been much easier to talk a guy into leaving before spring.

Last night the Iamaleavas had dinner with Bobby Petrino and told him that Madden was not going to transfer

Then 12 hours later…

Seems like the Iamaleavas have no problem bald face lying

Ok just watched every pass he threw against Georgia Southern and I think he had one bad pass. Just anticipated wrong on an out route and it got picked. Otherwise...he's really talented. Watched as many highlights as I could find.

He has flashed a lot and was a straight up baller in 2023 all season. Played good all year.

Couldn't find a single instances where he missed any wide open WR's. Hit them all because HE PUTS AIR UNDER THE BALL FOLKS. There's no possible way he would line drive miss on so many deep balls. Don't see it with him.

Lots of touch passes. He'll also throw some passes that draw PI's. He does have some dumb TO's, but overall I saw way more good plays than bad. A few of the picks were very flukey too. Decisive when he runs and doesn't mind contact. I think he's straight up good.

It’s just hard to get excited about a guy who was not good enough for UCLA because they got the guy who was our starter due to off the field dramatics. UCLA just sucks.

I’ve been pretty damn negative over it but I guess I have to deal with it and support him like any other Vol.

Extremely difficult to get a good Starting Power 4 QB to jump AFTER SPRING PRACTICE. Totally new offense with no experience in it plus your coaches, teammates, and fan base now HATE YOU. You are so behind the 8 ball as they say. Boosters stepped up for some QB’s TN was back channeling as they should. Brady Hoke agrees with a few words of this comment.

Let’s hope Josh can coach some of the INTs out of him. He always schemes some wide open WRs down the field. Be nice to have a guy who can hit them.

I see Aguliar as a Game Manager and relying on the defense. Which you can win that way as long as offense doesn't be one turnover prone...

New deal and offensive changes. If Merk were to leave, I would worry about Mike a lot. They are close.

If Merk plays his cards right and continues to improve, he can be the starter next year.

Middle of the pack. He would've been 9th last year but there's a ton of attrition to graduation / NFL at QB this year.

IMO he is likely a transfer or depth piece. I think Gmac and Faizon are too talented and they will overtake him. Love for him to prove me wrong though
