Injuries....you have to plan for them. The LVs had a pretty amazing run of luck last season with only Wynn being lost. What the odds of doing that back-to-back years?

She will have a lot more opportunity at Tennessee. She just makes out inside offense and defense so much better that it was .

Exactly. Extrapolating from her averages at UCLA to UT would be about the same as Cooper at S. Carolina to UT. She is built for this format!!

So it was just let out that Lay apparently did not want to transfer but her mom wanted her to chase a bag. She entered the portal then tried to change her mind and go back to SC but Dawn said NO THANKS. That is why there was a big delay in the news and her official announcement.

So she probably ends up going to whoever pays her the most which is likely LSU or Tennessee imo. Were the only schools have not already over spent.

It was not up in the air in Sports where the squad size limit and the scholarship limit were the same number. It was only up in the air for sports like track, swimming, football, etc. where there are significantly more current student athletes than there will be roster spots under the new system. Women’s basketball already had a 15 scholarship limit and an active roster size of 15.

Yeah, I’m pretty stunned at that as well, particularly with the revenue share part of it next year.

I believe CKC will trim the roster once she has the numbers where she wants them. If you can get 3 each year and occasionally 4 to balance freshman and seniors leaving. Would still hit the portal for needs or wants.

Send us Fulwiley and that would be two of the three pieces I think could get this team over the hump and make us final 4 contenders. I would love additional 3 point options, but believe the returners will all improve in that area. You can't teach height, so an Okot type player would probably complete my wish list to offset any Taylor Jones type situations next year. Having Barker will definitely help in this area because she's a tremendous rebounder when she wants to be and I figure we just saw the tip of the iceberg with Zee Spearman. Zees upside is still off the charts.

Tennessee is the one school with a system that can play as many as 13 players meaningful minutes depending on the opponent of course.
They need the extra players to extended the rotation for a 30 game season.
Getting another player or two is necessary for practice, the regular season, and building the depth chart.
It’s a long grueling season.
Tennessee has its core and two deep rotation right now with the Janiah Barker signing.
The key players are here.
No post in the portal fit this system better than Janiah Barker.
No guard in the portal fit this system better than Nya Robertson.
Any other transfer from the portal is a bonus not a need.

Ok hold up LOL let’s not disrespect Fulwiley like that LOL…NYA is not better than her and Fulwiley in this system would be elite….
