Can you imagine what an issue it would cause for CRB? He's about to fill out his roster with 3 transfer's/recruits and now what do you do with ZZ, JM, & JG?

Personally, not a fan. We will be right back in the portal next year looking to replace them. Rice and Freeman had multiple years left and it’s easier to retain your kids when they know they are getting paid.

I'm starting to think bringing in the kid from ND and having a QB competition and upgrading or adding quality depth at a handful of other postiitions would be better than getting in a bidding war for an above average Big 12 QB.

I just think with Faizon and GMac, you get a leader and someone to stabilize. Go get some folks who can help the offense.

Agreed. My mindset this whole time is just get a depth piece and use the rest of the money to strengthen the positions around him.

I would happily take Angeli for a reasonable amount, add a difference maker at wide receiver and corner .

Combine both of these (minus Angeli, add Aguilar) and this is my ideal scenario. And I think Aguilar would be phenomenal in Heupel’s offense.

We have real problems if we can’t entice Aguilar to hit portal. Be aggressive and get a QB with upside. Angelli is nothing special.

I hear you, but I actually prefer a stable piece over a guy with upside. We have upside on the roster. I want a guy who can just get us through the season without the wheels falling off. Think we can win 9 with a game manager at QB

I suspect we are doing the same now.
I don't know how much Spyre has left for the coming season, but I think they could get a cash infusion for a good QB.

i feel that way about every one of our commits. winning and money changes things.

in my opinion we hitched our wagon to a beta. you canr have beta in southern football at the qb position. its as much personality as talent.

Faizon grew up a TN fan. IMO we have to show him attention, show offense is improving, show we are committed to surrounding him with premier athletes.

Right now I can only point to one of those items being checked.
