Nawww, he’s gonna have every QB on the team throw for 200 yards per half. If there’s 2 QBs then 400 yards passing in the first half. If a portal QB gets in there then 600 yards. He will make a statement that the QB was the issue. Not scheme or WRs. An example will be made and poor Syracuse is the unlucky recipient.

The offense will be wide open run game and passing attack. Multiple TDs per quarter a la 2022. Fear will be spawned. DCs will resume their insomnia and nightmares. 🤠

I guess he rode the bench and then played in the system they had to get away from. Weird timing to wait 2 years to get to a better “system”

Were our receivers as bad as many complain about or was it equal parts a qb who couldn't complete passes to many wide open guys all year? Much less read defenses and scan the field for 2nd and 3rd options?

It was both tbh. When one was successful the other couldn't take advantage of it.

If Nico was being such a problem behind the scenes, we should have cut bait after the season and brought in a QB then. As is, I highly doubt we get anyone of significance. Merk or GMac will be the starter. Not even sure it's worth bringing in someone that isn't going to start. We could use that roster spot to improve elsewhere. This could hurt us in the long run, especially if we go 7-5 or worse next season. If anyone sees Nico's dad, please kick him in the gonads for me. Fully expect people will run with the "it's the offense" argument. People have been calling it gimmicky since Heupel got here.

The Iamaleava's just needed to walk away and be quiet, but the more they talk the more TN releases.

It is infuriating that this is exactly how it will go down. I want to be positive, but I fully have prepared myself in case.

UCLA fans will say it's the offense, I think the rest of the country knows they're clowns (UCLA does too, but they'll go along with it). . . they must be desperate after the way daddio had Madden flip at the last minute.

Or maybe it's that the QB didn't build any chemistry with his receivers because he didn't show up to practice or put in any extra work.

Also I was pretty positive he started every game high as a kite last season.

That Brett Kollman dude used to put out Youtube vidoes about schemes, players, etc. I quit watching because he whiffed on a lot of his analysis.

The rest of the country will know Nico got greedy, but the rest of the country has also heard we run a gimmicky offense. Media and opposing coaches have run with that narrative since Hooker was here.

I don't disagree with you. We all gave him a pass though since he was 19 and a first year starter. This year was huge for his development. Him taking a step would have been a great achievement for diffusing that narrative.

Also to be fair, having WRs on one half of the field not running routes doesn't help either lol.

Exactly. It's why Nico's dad decided to run with that narrative. He knew it would hurt us long term. It adds to a narrative others have been pushing all along.
