Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Jokes aside, that is a pretty tough schedule. Other than UNLV and NM there aren't really any historic cupcakes there.
Actually, Maryland won 1 conference game last year, Northwestern 2, Nebraska and Michigan State 3 (same as UCLA). Beat those equal or lesser fellow bottom-dwellers plus UNLV and NM, and UCLA has 5 wins -- 1 win away from a bowl game, which is prolly their goal.

Utah went 2-7 in the Big 12 last year. USC and Washington both went 4-5 in conference. They need 1.

The only teams with winning conference records on UCLA's schedule are Ohio State, Penn State, Indiana (if last year wasn't an anomaly).

I know of one QB that UT touched base with to gauge interest. He is not interested. Why? Merk and GMac
Plus Brandon next year

My prediction: we will find an extra QB in portal, but Merk and GMac battle for job with GMac winning out and will be starter by the Georgia game. GMac is special
Gonna be a long yr if it plays out like that
