I had an "Olympic" moment similar to that one time. I worked at the telephone company for several years. I got ran back to my van multiple times but the worst was when the customer accidentally let the dog slide by him as soon as I got on their porch. I'd been there before and knew the guy was weak and sickly, but he was very nice and wouldn't intentionally let the dog out on anyone. I also knew that dog would eat my face off if it ever got loose. Welp, I could hear the dog's paws coming across their hardwood floors and they were were getting faster. As soon as that door opened, I jumped down 5 steps, took off in a sprint, and had to clear 30 yards to get to my service van. Luckily my windows were down. I dove through the passenger window (head 1st), monkey flipped to an upright position, and was cranking the window up (it was manually operated, Thank GOD), in less than a second. The dog was trying to jump through the window as I was rolling it up. I threw a "sorry we missed you, please reschedule" tag out the window and left.
