Animal rights nonprofit group PETA is praising the Trump administration for its work to end animal testing within the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), thanking them for “helping spare tens of thousands of animals each year.”

The FDA announced Thursday it is phasing out its animal testing requirement for antibody therapies and other drugs in favor of “more effective, human-relevant methods.”

The EPA made a similar announcement on the same day, with a spokesperson for Administrator Lee Zeldin telling the Washington Times that the agency would reinstate a policy from the first Trump administration to phase out animal testing.

“Under President Trump’s first term, EPA signed a directive to prioritize efforts to reduce animal testing and committed to reducing testing on mammals by 30% by 2025 and to eliminate it completely by 2035,” the spokesperson said. “The Biden administration halted progress on these efforts by delaying compliance deadlines. Administrator Zeldin is wholly committed to getting the agency back on track to eliminating animal testing.”

It's not that difficult and if best practices are followed not so unhealthy. The pay compares well to that for some more unhealthy and physically difficult jobs.

Overall,CEO’s are not just going to accept a tax increase without making adjustments on their balance sheets to compensate for the increase.

I originally posted about “rich people should pay higher taxes”. I made the point “rich people” became rich by being smart. If their balance sheets are negatively impacted in one area, they are going to make it up in another.

You took it to fund managers. That was not my point.

If I own a grocery store and I am forced to increase a price/wage which cuts into my profits, I will raise other products to compensate.

I didn't take it to fund managers. I took it to those who are rich because of stock trading. If I take in a million this year from buying and selling stock, how do I pass my taxes on to the peasants?

I am a NASCAR fan I was watching live when it happened. It may not have been "the right" who changed the words but it was definitely "the right" who ran with it.

Or maybe she just didn't think it was appropriate to acknowledge they were saying "****" on live air. She was even laughing.

And yeah, the point isn't who invented it. It's who's acting like a-holes. It's the right.

I was right-leaning until the Trump era, and one of the big reasons was I genuinely believed the right was the high-road side. It's become the low-road side in a few short years. Just terrible behavior from people that used to have my respect. It's not about small government, sound economics, rule of law, etc...it's about pwning the libs.
