I don't get the criticism of Noem. Its Trump. He appoints hot chicks as much as he can, regardless of qualifications. I personally thinks its a bit creepy (shades of porn star sleep overs), but it is hardly unexpected.

All admins lack qualifications..heck Congress lacks qualification on just about everything. Just a bunch of polls.

Noem kicked off her tenure at DHS by holding a town hall event where her walk-on song was Trace Atkins' Hot Mama.

Since then, photos of Noem have been hung up around the agency.

There's Noem dressed in a cowboy hat and a Border Patrol jacket riding horseback as she accompanied Border Patrol Del Rio Horse Patrol Unit.

Another photo shows the secretary riding an ATV.

Inside the department, The Journal found, some staffers consider Noem more of a spokesperson than a traditional agency leader.

The perception is heightened by Noem's nearly constant travel schedule, where D.C.-based staffers only see her a few hours a week.

That has 'irritated many at DHS,' The Journal said.

Prior to The Journal's report, several conservative women were already calling out Noem for playing dress-up on the job.

Creates a national database with no benefit. Created by the same people who brought you the Patriot Act but was ignored until Trump. Does it make is safer or is it just more big govt? Normal doesn't care and will do anything to maintain a seat at the table. She stands for nothing

As I understand it your passport already qualifies as a “real ID”
What are the negatives here?

If she had an original thought she would oppose it. Instead she shills on social media. Why does it need to be implemented now?

Agreed, the patriot act was trash. I’ll look into more specifics and see what I think. We already have a database. Several, in fact. I’m not sure this adds to it. Beyond that she doesn’t seem any different than anyone else up there to me.
