I think many of you are missing the point that someone has to be available in order for us to have a shot at them. We can talk in back channels all we want, but the truth is that it's gonna be hard to pull a good starting QB with experience from the portal at this stage. The schools where they are currently at don't want to be forced to be QB shopping this close to the 2025 season any more than we do. Money talks for sure but it isn't the only factor.

If Rizk is the best that's available, that may be who we have to settle with.

If that ends up being the case, it could be a blessing in disguise. Nico's 2.4 million would be able to be used on the incoming recruiting class and we could absolutely clean up.

We'll go after an experienced guy at QB and give him an opportunity to compete with Merk, but he won't be an all world beater that we would pay over 2 mill +.
