I mean…. He struggled bigly last year. Never did really understand the offense. So I am not upset if he leaves.

If he stays hopefully he has learned from all his mistakes…. But like others have said, you can’t have a leader who doesn’t want to be there.

IMO this is too far gone for him to stay. He’s lost the fanbase with this move and, per what some have reported on, the locker room as well, and even the staff is fed up with it. I don’t see how you save face here, because at this point the staff/university, if they cave, are saying one man is worth more than the rest of the roster.

they made it a point to do some heavy complimenting

I’m not reallly upset about nico leaving. Watching him play, never really saw a $2.5 mil QB. Good luck to him wherever he lands. But his dad seems like a real ass. How you call a reporter a b!itch and then pull this?

Here are the CFP championship odds for next year. If we call his bluff and he walks then what team on this list is going to take him? He can’t transfer to any of the SEC schools because of the spring portal rules. This brings me to another question? What’s the best he could do if he leaves?

I’ve almost completely lost interest in college sports at this point, which really sucks because I genuinely loved it but once starters on teams started leaving for other teams for more money, that was the beginning of my breaking point.

You’ve become as bad as Vol twitter. Nico has been an exemplary leader. We are not a better team without him. We literally have some players only on this team because they wanted to play with him. Quit the crying and he’ll raisin and let the situation play out.

We still don’t ACTUALLY know anything. This is all rumor mill. And that shouldn’t mean anything.

Nico is holding himself out from practice while in contact negations............... That has been reported by UT mouthpieces. That's known, not rumor. Maybe they work something out but I wouldn't bet money on it.

I agree about taking a step back without Nico, but our staff handled the position and future with the understanding Nico would be here leading this offense.

There may be people who wanted to play with Nico, and I expect some to leave.

Tennessee is in a lose lose situation. Pay him an amount he hasn't earned yet and everyone else lines up behind him doing the same. Don't pay him and let him walk, other likely leave too. At least you have money to get others to replace them.

We made the playoffs, but I didn't feel our quarterback play was particularly outstanding. It was more about our running backs.

We didn’t win any games because of Nico.
We won some games in spite of Nico.
