Recruiting Football Talk VIII

lol you’re in lala land or didn’t watch the game.
No I watched. UF became the aggressor and Houston couldn’t handle it. Fact.

You’re an excuse maker. Fact.
Always looking to blame the refs or something.
Same as with football.

We lose all our production and will be a much worse team next year. Probably low top 25 team to bubble team unless he lands some portal studs. Like the guys we have brought in but we need more than that.
Said this last year too didn’t we?

What switch?
As is nearly always the case, an aggressive, attacking offense is going to draw more fouls.
Especially when the team with the ball is making good decisions.

That’s what I saw tonight.
Got down and realized they were running out of time and had to step it up.

Should’ve been no surprise, as every game they have come from behind.
They cheated and you know it.

Say it or I’ll cut you.

Was settling down for the night around 10 and heard what sounded like a dog yelping somewhere outside. Put on my headlamp and eventually found this guy in the water barely hanging on to a boat lift on my neighbor's dock. I was able to get a rope around his head thanks to a golf club on the dock because I had no chance of reaching him without getting in the lake. Pulled him up onto the lift float and was able to bring him up the rest of the way by his collar. This guy couldn't stand and was shivering. Carried him up to my house, we wrapped him in towels, fed him, and I posted his picture on a boaters group on FB. Social media finally did something good because we got in touch with the owner pretty quick and he was picked up within 30 minutes of me pulling him out of the water. The owner had been looking for him for 6 hours after some storms caused him to run off earlier today while the owner wasn't home.

That is a great story. Good on you.

Here's my problem with how that game was officiated... In the first half, let them play. In the second half they called everything on Florida early...14 minutes left and Houston was already in the bonus.

Then... Like 10 in a row on Houston over the next 8 minutes, none on Florida..

Missed goal tending...I think the officials actually did pretty well on a lot of things. But the change in how many whistles... Doesn't add up imo.

That said, it's not the reason Florida won/Houston lost.

It was just totally different one half to the next.

Credit Florida tho. They got Clayton involved, and made plays. Their bigs passed the ball well, and played much better defense overall later in the game and they stopped turning it over.

In a game like that, when you have to be able to go get a bucket at 'have to time', you find out how good your offense really is. And Houston made a very poor decision on that drive and dribbled it out of bounds, and then double dribbled to end the game basically. Tough, and terrible, ending to what was otherwise a very competitive game. Would have at least liked to see Houston get a shot up on either of those last two possessions.

Refs letting them play is a huge benefit for them. 4 fouls total?! In a super physical game? If the refs don't totally switch their whistle, Houston should be OK.
And this is what changed the game. As always, the zebras dictate what happens. Call 4 fouls in 1st half and 26 in 2nd half. And these are supposed to be the best refs to call the championship game??

Well I know how we win it all now, be the luckiest team in the country. What phony national champions lmao
No, you have to have to zebras in your back pocket to help change the course of the game. Ironic that the coach is a creep and the zebras are corrupt. Evil loves evil.

Joe Lindsey, Don Dailey, and the other ref need to be investigated. They allowed florida to even this game when Houston was up 12 points.

1st half - 4 fouls total, 3 on Houston
2nd half - 26 fouls total, 16 on Houston

🤔

THE NCAA IS CORRUPT
2/3 of the refs are sec refs, because of course

What a fitting devotional when you are dealing with your rival winning a national title. I am being silly, but the power of God to help through all things is real.

April 8, 2025: Refuse to drown yourself in sorrow. You cannot change what has happened or what you are going through, but you can access the peace that passes understanding. Put your trust in the truth of the Word of God, and begin by taking your first step into a new day of possibilities. Be strong and of good courage, says the lord. Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
