It’s not about money. A winning team with a winning coach isn’t throwing money at any player when they have 5 McDAAs on their roster in those same positions.
If that player in the portal was that good they wouldn’t be in the portal or their former team wouldn’t have loss by 30 points in the Round of 32.

She didn’t call time out when they started that first run and got worse from there. That said, SC looked like a tired team. Maybe U Conn would not have been so energetic had they played the brutal SEC schedule. They didn’t have such a great night at The Summitt, don’t you know!

You keep on saying the same thing. EVERYONE knows who is coming, nobody is downing anyone. These ladies are the future and we all know it. If we can pull more talent from anywhere I am all for it.

It’s less about money and more about the possibility of reuniting with a friend and former teammate in Raven as well as the culture around the program. Loss or not SC is still at the top of the sport right now and with a player like Latson.. my goodness. They’ll get a post or two and be right back in the thick of it.

BUT I believe Kim and Company got some tricks up their sleeves for EVERYBODY. I do hope her rotations evolve in the future depending on matchups like you can still do hockey but in your biggest games, you need your baddest on the floor.

Bear in mind, that is just the end of the period to enter the portal in this window. It is not the deadline to sign with the next school.

Also does not apply to graduate transfers. They are exempt from the timing restrictions regarding the portal.

Athletes losing a head coach are granted a thirty day window in which to relocate without regard to the portal window.

I think I got all that right… 😉

I think we'll have ours by the middle of May. I'm sure there will still be unsigned players when the portal closes. I expect all the top players to be somewhere by the end of May.

There’s really no way to confirm portal targets when no poster on this forum is on the inside of the WBB program. It’s a few people that claim to have sources although it’s sketchy at best.
I’m not claiming to have that kind of information nor do I try to gain that knowledge of the WBB. I do have access to certain information. My instincts are telling me CKC and her recruiting staff are actively working the portal to identify the 3 best available fits to complete this elite roster that ESPN has already ranked as the #8 team heading into the 2025-2026 season.
The positions CKC has referenced in the past are post players that can improve defense and rebounding.
We’re absolutely loaded in the guard positions with 5 McDAAs and 2 Top 50 recruits amongst our returnees and #1/#2 recruiting class. Might add a few experienced players but they must understand playing time is stringent following that McDonald’s All-American game showing!

Nothing interesting at the moment. Just casual fans designating any player entering the transfer portal as a “need”. They want the coaches to pay them maxed NIL deals in the six figures w/o the resume to demand the big dollars.
Per usual.
I will say that things are set to get intriguing very soon.
CKC is poised to solidify those final 2-3 roster spots of an already elite roster, which we saw yesterday prior to the portal additions ranks #8 according to ESPN 2025-2026 preseason power rankings.

The offense in this system doesn’t feature or rely on posts players playing in the lane area. They take most of their shots from the 3pt line or long mid-range jumpers on the perimeter.
Honestly, I think Lazaria Spearman and Alyssa Latham would contribute more offensively in the post as opposed to spotting up around the 3pt line.
Fans have to realize that any post in this system will not be the primarily offensive option or consistently used to score points in the lane.

if the Judge rules against the settlement today we would have four roster openings. Still would be on the fifteen scholarships and walkons not counting. If she rules for it then 15 total and we have three right now.

Really hoping we can land a rebounder and defender in the post like Okot. Williams, Cunningham, and Weimar are the other three post.

Today still dead period tomorrow visits can start again.
