Trade Wars and Tariffs

Were you anti Clinton, the home wrecker Harris, Obama the killer, bish the war monger...I'll bet you voted for 3 if not all 4 on them with your superior morals.. id you were for all that you wouldn't be chiming in the PF as there is very little to none of that in politics..

You sure are focused on picking sides. I'm just calling out incompetency at the highest level.

Why would they have plans in place? Trump just took office.
I’m assuming those that announced the investments would research the issue and draw up the plans and etc. before announcing such a move publicly. I’m also assuming this would take some time to put together and as you said, Trump just took office. I could be totally wrong…. Just guessing

trump 2.0 has less guardrails than trump 1.0... and trump 1.0 was known for making policy changes on whim...

Care to post 1 time that you have posted against the Biden Admin or any one hut Trump...hard to say your in the fence when you only criticize 1 side..

Hasn't been necessary to speak out against anyone other than trump.

I understand and respect that people have different views. What I don't respect are public servants driven primary by vengeance, narcissism and ignorance - and public servants that would rather troll than be serious about "serving the public."

Good news for America in this great reset ...

From the article:

Taiwan's President Lai Ching-te on Sunday offered zero tariffs as the basis for talks with the U.S., pledging to remove trade barriers rather than imposing reciprocal measures and saying Taiwanese companies will raise their U.S. investments.

"In the future, in addition to TSMC's increased investment, other industries, such as electronics, information and communications, petrochemicals, and natural gas will be able to increase investment in the U.S. and deepen Taiwan-U.S. industrial cooperation," Lai said.

Taiwan's cabinet is considering what large-scale agricultural, industrial and energy purchases to make from the United States, while the defence ministry has already put forward its weapons purchase plans, he added.

"All purchases will be actively pursued," Lai said.

Taiwan and the US had effectively balanced tariffs before Trump's "reciprocal" tariff was announced.

Once again: a trade imbalance is not a sign of an unequal trade relationship.

Working from zero tariffs, increased investments in the US, and increased imports of US products is always good.

Another Trump win. Excellent!

Food for thought. Is it possible that neither Biden and the Democrats nor Trump and the Republicans are competent? This forum is a microcosm of why this country is in its current state. Each side is dug in on winning an argument instead of making actual decisions and compromising for the betterment of country. I would suggest there is plenty of blame on both sides of the aisle. Now everyone can go back to screaming at the clouds of who is MOST to blame. May God have mercy on our nation.
