President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

anyone who has shot pretty much anything knows the whole "rip the ear off" is bs.

go to any gun range. take any (non shotgun) gun of any caliber at any range, and shoot the edge of the the PAPER target. do you rip the whole thing off because you grazed the edge? or does it barely register it with a flap from the slight tug.

if paper can survive a graze, an ear can survive a graze.

i bet swampy thinks shooting someone with a .22 causes them to get blown off their feet and thrown a couple feet.
I was shooting with a friend sighting in a new 5.56 rifle and had one of the soft swinging targets. After several shots was annoyed how from backstop impacts you'd expect hits but the target itself didn't so much as twitch. On closer inspection all shots hit the target but punched perfectly clean little holes. The bullets were zipping through without even enough resistance to make the target noticeably move at all.

Do you believe the US has a duty to ensure those human righta since we are the freest and arguably the most powerful/influential country???
@hog88 - you can take this one.

I'm not sure we are in a position to "ensure", but we should most definitely "take into consideration".

Hawley urges Trump DOJ to investigate FICO for 'monopoly' over US Credit Scores

FICO holds nearly 90% market share, says Sen Josh Hawley

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., is urging President Donald Trump's Justice Department to investigate the nation's top credit-scoring company for abusing its "monopoly" over the industry.

The Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO) has repeatedly raised prices in recent years and secured massive profits while facing little competition, Hawley wrote in a letter to Assistant Attorney General Gail Slater Friday, adding that former President Joe Biden's administration had ignored his earlier calls for scrutiny.

"FICO dominates the business-to-business credit scoring market with a roughly 90% market share. It enjoys a sweetheart deal from the federal government wherein its credit scores are required for loans originated with multiple government entities. But FICO has abused its government-granted market power," Hawley wrote.

diplomacy, negotiation, compromise......

Not sure any of those words are in trump's vocabulary.

and as hogg said......example (again, not a strong suit of trump's)
So what would compromise with a slave labor or child labor country look like to you??

Section 307 of the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C. §1307) prohibits U.S. imports of any product that was mined, produced, or manufactured wholly or in part by forced labor, including forced or indentured child labor.

yeah, if theres not enough mass/resistance to flatten/deform the slug is not going to dump much energy.

5.56 in particular just wants to blow thru things. not rip massive holes in them. at least not the primary target. it gets ugly once it starts to tumble though.

Too bad they didn't define forced labor.

Interesting you point this out as that is routinely ignored by both side of the aisle. Because we do in fact import many items from those types of countries which should be prohibited...but then we wouldnt have access to Nike and Apple to a large degree...so my question I this...how do you fix it..?

Too bad they didn't define forced labor.
Child Labor is defined by ILO Conventions 138 on the Minimum Age for Admission to Employment and 182 on the Worst Forms of Child Labor. It includes employment below the minimum age as established in national legislation, hazardous unpaid household services, and the worst forms of child labor: all forms of slavery or practices similar to slavery, such as the sale or trafficking of children, debt bondage and serfdom, or forced or compulsory labor; the use, procuring or offering of a child for prostitution, for the production of pornography or for pornographic purposes; the use, procuring or offering of a child for illicit activities; and work which, by its nature or the circumstances in which it is carried out, is likely to harm the health, safety or morals of children.

Forced Labor is defined by ILO Convention 29 as all work or service exacted from any person under the menace of any penalty and for which the said person has not offered himself voluntarily.

He used those words when correctly calling out Biden's treatment of Yemen
