all of those are probably protected classes of some point. Nurse probably had health care through her work. steel mill might have union protections. TDOT is a government employee.

as a 20 something at the time, it added costs to every 20-30 something I talked to, unless they were on an expensive plan before.

you don't get to lower the high rates, add a whole bunch of freeloaders, without raising the rates somewhere. its simple economics.

my yearly increase was like 10-25 bucks a year before ACA. it was in the hundreds posts ACA.

I went from paying 60 of about 150 a month, to 400 of about 700/800 a month in a year. and it didn't stop there. employer just couldn't keep up with the rising costs, so more and more fell on the employees to pay for.

your first two are the same point. they go up, they go down. not worried about it, and if I wasn't paying for a wedding I would be putting more money in right now. the smart with money are going to make money off this opportunity and set themselves up for a better future.

Or you mean the one who got paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for a reset button? I tell people in the Ukraine thread, Trump isn't ideologically tied to Putin. Putin was stroking Trumps ego earlier, that can and likely will change.

Regardless both groups are dumb. Illness has be going around for years, and just getting worse. Not much one can do about it but except adjust to the stupidity and work around it.
