2025 Transfer Portal

Do we really want a player that quits playing if things aren't going her way?

Yeah it was a turn off for me. On one hand, she’s a dynamic play maker and a superb passer.

If she’s not gonna play defense and isn’t a team player this isn’t the school for her though. May just want a fresh start for her final year of eligibility and a chance to get out of HH shadow.

Wow. Not enough to go around for Miles and HH both apparently. Good call on staying out of the draft, they’ve pretty much said they don’t want her. But sure didn’t see the transfer coming.

I have to wonder if HH's well-known (troglodyte) opinions regarding non-cis-hetero orientations is ever an issue with her teammates.

I personally think TN's style of play is more enticing and less risky for transfers and high school recruits. Everyone gets a chance to be a star in every single game. And, if you are really crushing it, you don't rotate off the court as much. Compare this to UCONN or SC for example. You could go to those schools and never see the court. Period.

I would take her in half a heartbeat! Wherever she goes it'll be her last hurrah in college ball, and I'd bet the farm that she'll be one of the hardest-working, most conscientious players in the country next season as she makes the most of her opportunity to impress pro scouts enough to draft her in the first round.

some of what WER puts out is just to create debate and conversation...you have to be wise enough to pick out which is which

Wells went through graduation ceremonies on senior day she may play elsewhere, but I don't think it will be Tennessee. It won't be kicking her off the team cause she went through graduation ceremonies which means your leaving. I know Fulkerson came back after doing it on the mens team but that was because they wanted him to won't be the case with Wells. We have our point guards and if they decide on another will be someone from the portal.
This is all likely true.

Guess I was thinking about 2 yrs and the JuJu, HH, Fulwiley draft. Next yr will Maddie Booker and Betts.

And yes, OM deferring makes Reagen Peebly, the Sparks GM look like a genius. She took a lot of crap for trading that pick
Booker is a Sophomore as well, she’s part of that same 2027 class

And they want as much drama and reactivity as possible, so they typically use the Lady Vols with its large fan and hungry fan base with enticing click bait (we are one of the top two for a major player even though other sources never have mentioned this) and then follow it with melodramatic negative news (UT suffers a "devastating blow" by not getting said player.

It’s actually a great system to showcase your best moments. If you’re playing great, you do seem to get a few extra minutes.

On an off night? No worries because you’re coming out in 90 seconds anyway lol. Rarely get a chance to compound mistakes in this system.

I’m sure Coach Lazo and Coach Tubner are putting on a blitz in the portal.
For the current visitor, 3-year double figure scorer. Her role if UT brings her in will be to replace Sara Puckett and Tess Darby as a stretch forward in CKC system.
CKC is playing chess and everyone else checkers.
She is playing chess Knox, but calm down, there are many coaches playing chess these days.
