Tennessee Softball 2025

Winning the series here would be beyond huge for LV's. Maybe this series can help Karen settle on a staring 9 and then find a solid 2nd pitcher would be great.
Quite the concept, right? Have a set line up and letting players get settled and not quick to pull them or pinch hit for them. Have to let them grow from failures to succeed in future.

Fielder can’t take that chance. Gave up two extra runs.

How should she have played it? Could have slowed up so it was not as close I guess. Do or die I think.

One of those runs should not have been there, tagged out on steal attempt. Just lost one appeal on play at first so did not appeal this. Just part of the game.

Just watching replay, the plate ump was way kinder to their low strikes and river calls than ours to my non live review of game.

Straight up , keeping the ball in front of you knowing you’re giving up one. Only make that play late in the game when it’s tied and with two outs.

Another win byproduct is we didn't have to read all the loud-mouthed bragging by Sooner fans on Facebook after they took the rubber match. That is truly worth something.
Not afraid of their pitching overall other than we are not good against left handed pitching. Other teams have scored a lot on them. They may it win it all again this team is not the juggernaut they have had in the past.

I’ll bet the plane ride back was high energy! Tuesday’s opponent West Carolina is 18-18 and just got swept by Samford including 2 run-rules. They lost to Georgia 12-6 early in the year. So they can muster a pulse. I think any pitcher not named Karlyn could get work.

You would think so but the fact that Karlyn is from western Carolina may get her the start anyway, but I would hope the other pitchers would get some innings too, especially Peyton since she needs more time in the circle.

The ball has to be in front of you to play in front of you. Ball would have gon to bench anyway. I see it a great attempt and applause her for the hustle.

i am probably wrong but Karlyn will not pitch on tuesday. The NC part will not matter!

The ball was never in front of her and no other angle would have cut it off. Gaps are gaps.
Now if she was not lined up to the game plan then she has some skin in the game.

You don’t layout. Especially with a left handed LF who’s not in the picture. Cost 3 runs and not 1.

Great attempt sure, hustle sure. Risky absolutely that didn’t cost us in the end. Better angle and don’t layout keeps the ball in her range to hold the runners to one base.

Doesn’t look as though she was playing straight up. Looked by her jump she was late or playing more left side of 2B. Her and Morgan were too far apart with the runner on 1B coming into 3B as Morgan was throwing in. Lefty hitters will cut away right side of the field.
