Who were the targets?? And is there anything there to say this was a real strike??? Or was that determined later?

These questions do not have anything to do whether the information is classified or should be shared on Signal. It doesn't have to be a complete picture to be considered a leak.

No flight plans, no launch vectors, no names, no information other than itinerary which lacks any defining information. The sky is big, the F-18 is fast and the tomahawk is faster.

I don’t think it would have had an impact.

A timeline but no defined launch locations, targets locations. Depending on security classification guidance could be acceptable since it gives no greater detail and without hindsight or context could be referring to a live strike or test/training event elsewhere in the AOR.

Trump already said strike was flawless and if iran got any worth while info from this it would have been after the strike. nothing burger the left is desperately working overtime trying to make something of nothing.

it already been said by the WH the info wasn't classified.. And from I've read signal can be used by officials... It should have never involved and journalist... That's the issue not the content... It's still a leak regardless of the info.

Any rational person that has ever held a security clearance knows that they screwed up. They think people are stupid because they are the government and don't want to admit fault.

Isn't it clear from the context of the conversation they were talking about actual strikes? Earlier in the chat they talk about striking the Houthis, Vance isn't a fan because he wants the Euros to take care of it, they need to be careful about how they message this to the public because a lot of people won't "get it," etc.

When Hegseth posts the timetable after that discussion, why would anybody think all of a sudden it became just a war game?

Even if that information wasn't classified, or even if they weren't technically "war plans" (if you want to play semantic games), the information posted there was undoubtedly highly sensitive. It still would have given the enemy notice of upcoming strikes, and the entire point of this was to be a surprise attack.

He didn't give target, location, etc. in the chat, which I think is what supporters of the President are relying on in saying that this wasn't classified info. Even if it wasn't, don't you agree that it could still have been really bad if this got out, and is a big F-up by Waltz and Hegseth? It still would have given the Houthis a general early warning of an impending attack, which specific times they would occur.

2) no classified info, no war plans were sent on Signal by Trump Adm.
3) nothing here but Dems trying to make hay out of nothing trying to get rid of Hegseth

Eh, it definitely isn't nothing.

If Jake Sullivan put some details of a strike on the Houthis and inadvertently copied a reporter into the Signal thread, would you say that was "nothing?"
