Me too. That may be the most enjoyable win in my memory simply because of who we beat. Auburn is a great team. And one of the whiniest and biggest showboating teams I’ve ever seen.
Pearl trying to claim in presser that Barnes and himself have great cultures. He’s something else. His team whines more than any other, maybe ever.Fantastic team win again, the free throw shooting was exactly where it needs to be this time of year. Auburn is very good, but one of the least enjoyable teams to watch I can ever remember. The endless whining to refs and mouthing off just gets really tired, they are just as classless as their coach.
This is why it's so important that Tennessee wins, to show the absurdity of it all yet again. If the committee doesn't give a 1 to a team thats on the brink of being on the 1ine after beating 2projected 1 seeds back to back, then they lose credibility forever. Either these games matter, or they don't. If you don't reward a team for beating 2 top 5 teams in 2 days just because the timing isn't convenient, then blow it all up.I was listening and my head exploded. Just proving that what was said on this board all along was true, that this tournament doesn’t matter and is a pointless exercise. Zero value in playing the games. He clearly was told this by the committee otherwise he wouldn’t be flip flopping as much as he has.
It just turns out that the committee was never serious about Tennessee when they said “whoever advances the farthest”.
