Yeah; but we built up several leads and each time went into offensive droughts and our rebounding was balls. We just didn’t get it done.
Offense is better this season and I don’t see those guys taking their final game here lightly. I could be wrong to feel this way, but I’m not worried about Saturday at all.We lost to South Carolina with arguably the best scorer in Tennessee basketball history on our roster last season. Do we just forget that?
It’s possible, not sure Id say very possible. Remotely possible. Like it’s possible I’ll send a text or write a post without a typo. It’s always technically possible, but the odds are long.@TheMookieMonster is right it's very possible we could lose to USCjr on senior day. The womens team just did the same thing with Georgia, It's not crazy to think the same thing happens to the mens team
He is def too casual at times on the court and he's stopped using the shot fake that he used at times in that 2 or 3 game stretch a couple wks ago when he also was playing well...maddening to me because his defenders jump out of their shoes because of his quick release.I've said it multiple times, but he doesn't work nearly hard enough to get open. If they don't run a play designed to get him open, it ain't happening in the 2nd half it seems like.
Transition D and rebounding - both are effort parts of the sport which is what’s most disappointing as this team typically gives great effort.Sure, but scoring isn’t always linear.
We also had lots of scoring barrages in the game.
We scored more than enough points to win this game.
I mean, looking at the data and having watched the game, we probably win that game on the road like 66% of the time.
This was the 33%
In my opinion, if you want to point to the one thing that caused us to lose outside Brakefield going unconscious, it was transition defense. We gave up at least 6 easy points.
Yep. It would be hard to argue with our -11 performance in rebounding in the second half. Between that and Brakefield going unconscious, that was all Ole Miss needed.I agree with this - I won’t argue with anyone saying we could’ve rebounding better in the 2H, because we absolutely should have. But at the end of the day, shots were falling for ole Miss that won’t fall for them the rest of the season. Sometimes there’s just some senior night magic.
