Brother. Not standing and applauding a child with Brain Cancer is about as despicable as you can get. I’m even willing to agree with you that this was a political move to gain support among the audience. Fine! The child is standing in the room @luthervol!!! He’s standing in the balcony. He can see that half the adults in the room won’t even acknowledge his presence.

The number of times this has been brought up tells me it was simply a cheap ploy from a performer. The dems played right into it but there was no reason to have it

And can we stop pretending either side gives a damn about the us troops? Kids were born during, fought and died in the same non stop wars. Doge cut off the VA suicide hotline.

This is all just theater to keep the people occupied while we're robbed blind. A magic show

Luther read "'DEMS' against the ideals of the every-man" claim, and obviously interpreted that as "any/every/most average Democrat voter", which would mean he missed the context being "DEM leadership" that sat on camera and refused to stand and celebrate several celebrations of the "every-man" and every-man issues. It's a misunderstanding of the post that seems to have triggered his brain-washed program to spew hate toward Trump and anyone perceived to be defending him. It seems to have been another sad case of a lack of reading comprehension, which is ironic since that's one of his stock "retreat-attacks".

If one considers the argument that triggered him, it seems to have been: "Dem (leadership) is really shooting themselves in the foot with this open hatred for the ideals of most Americans. That's why they have been losing power, influence and voters."

That argument contains the premises that lots of Dem voters are (or have been) very moderate and still align with the common ideals of the average American. Else, why would the actions of the leadership last night hurt them among their own base (as well as the rest of the voters)?

I don’t care what the circumstances are. If a child with brain cancer is the focal point of the room, as they receive their award you stand and clap.

It’s not hard.

I do not think I'd give them that much credit. I think it is more being so completely out of touch with everyday Americans they have their heads planted, or stuck, right up their own rear-ends. They have a complete lack of leadership. Someone should have stood up on their side and said "No, we are not acting this way towards fellow ordinary citizens."

Whoever raised those democrats in congress and those few Americans who support their actions last night have done a poor job. There is such a thing as manners and decorum, and in turn they looked like fools overwhelmingly to the American people.

Liberal and neocon leadership have painted themselves into a political corner. (1) They have demonized Trump with the idea that anything he does is evil, which means that they have to oppose anything he does. (2) His popularity is soaring.

Combine those two, and all Trump needs to do to make them continue to commit this slow-moving suicide is do things that everyone agrees with. The Dems/neocons are politically forced to rally against things most Americans love and support, thus increasing the divide between most Americans and those leaders.
