Heard was injured in offseason which was part of the reason he came in out of shape. He did better as the season progressed. Not saying he lived up to potential but you would’ve had Campbell possibly at LT if Heard hadn’t came in.

All that got Ohio State 2 loses and a don’t care game vs Michigan. Ohio State probably has the best talent but could easily not show up again in the playoffs and get sent home.

Their fans know it too. That’s why they were so slight before our game and are not saying anything about this weeks game with the Ducks

I think they kill Oregon as well. Ryan Day is a moron though. That program would have a couple of national titles if they had a competent coach. His ego is the biggest issue with that program.

I’m with the Ohio State fans I know. They think it is just as likely they get killed by the Ducks. They don’t think Day can get the team ready to play without someone like Tennessee giving them motivation.

Also possible when you have a roster of teen millionaires. A lot of distractions for them to find. Was afraid they would show up focused at home after the Michigan loss. They should win it all on talent.

My wife works for a guy who played at Ohio State.
He says the same thing. And he’s right. They have plenty of talent to win it but a coach that is a poor motivator.

He also thinks that if we had gotten off the field when the face mask was called and then we scored that the team would have quit. He thinks they are very fragile right now……finishing every conversation we have with “I hope I’m wrong “

This, I can agree with. If we get that early stop, its a completely different game imo.

Dane Key was a perfect WR to target. A true jump ball WR is what we’re missing and he does it as good as anyone in the country. Would be an easy out for Nico next year. But yet he lands at Nebraska of all schools. Doesn’t. Make. Sense.

We are missing faster guys who can catch and run esp in this offense. Not jumpball receivers.

Is this sarcasm? If not, no. Listen, I get some people are overly negative and some are overly positive, but let's try realism here. We are not looking at a better OL next year. You don't lose a starting center like Cooper Mays and expect better line play next season. You don't lose 3/5 of your OL, who have played together multiple seasons, and expect better line play. And that's assuming Karic come back. If he doesn't, we lose 4/5 of our OL.

Moe and Thompson are good pickups. Don't want to understate that. But there are guys on this team who will be expected to play a major role next season and we've given them limited PT so far.

I'll be interested to see how the OL shakes out in Spring practice. If we're still at a point where none of Elarbee's HS recruits are ready to play significant minutes, there's no reason he should remain employed here.

You're on drugs if you think Satterwhite is better than Cooper. Doubt Sanders starts as a freshman. We'll see how the other two pan out with Elarbee coaching them.
