I just watched some of Trump's speech at the Al Smith dinner. It was absolutely gut busting.

Exactly. Only an idiot would be for taxes on unrealized gains. It simply makes the stock market too risky for many investors, and the people with big portfolios are the ones that have the power to move stock market prices. The market tanks because of this and suddenly people's retirements are put in jeopardy because the value of their 401K's have tanked.

This is easier to understand when you realize that is exactly their goal.
