The only one I might be able to get behind would be the top right one of the second set, no black piping, orange collar, white cuffs. But I also agree that in any kind of game action, it would simply look like white sides were added to the jersey.

Also, I happen to really like the jerseys the way they are. UT is one of the programs who has maintained a certain jersey style (with a one-off variance here and there being the exception) for a long time. It's a tradition and if you ask me, it falls under the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" concept.

Not to belittle the work done on these pictures. It's worth exploring the options, but my opinion is that a change is unnecessary and personally, I'd prefer it if they stuck with what they've got. It's very cool in a classic sort of way.

Well, I'm somewhere in the middle. I don't want to see a program have to resort to gimicky tricks, but then again, change is a natural part of life. Even tradition-rich programs like USC, and Oklahoma, have added subtle changes...not sweeping changes, just minor. USC did so under CLK's time there (Metallic shaded helmets...same color, and some subtle uniform design changes).
Secondly, the fact that it's not blatantly obvious is actually a good Design principle. Subtle, not glaring/screaming). Many viewers will notice it after seeing it from a given TV camera angle, and it will hit them..."Hey, that's actually the T logo on their jersey...cool."

I also think mixing in the current scheme for a few games, could be a good idea, too.

Dude, these are just crude mockups to see what others think. Chill. What skin is it off your nose? Are you paying royalties for your avatar?

I used orange swarm's pic of the Scroggins paintjob of the Rock, to offer a design idea for this weekend's recruiting painting.

FYI, I already asked the guy who posted E Berry's pic where he bought it...so if I did submit anything to the AD or staff, it won't involve anyone else's work. He told me where I can buy the photo, but in the meantime, nothing commercial is taking place...not even remotely.

Dude, I was just trying to have a fun conversation on a message board with you. But since you continue to get offended, there are rules against spamming the board with your graphic solutions. Just relax a little.

I can't read your mind...from the beginning, you've been up in my grill. I'm just trying to help, just like I spent time helping (Photoshop work) with the current "Rock" painting...nothing commercial going...so, I don't get where you come off with all this spamming crap.
I've done nothing to warrant such an abrasive tone here.

Sorry, but your stuff ain't important enough to warrant an ignore designation. By the way, what is that on the rock? Sorry, didn't know they were recruits. Am I the only one "up in your grill"?

I dig the orange pants. They looked great in HD at UCLA last year. If only we had won the game.

Considering it. Not sure what kind of protocol one would have to go through. I realize you can't please everyone, but I figured I'd take the idea that's been floating around in my head for a while and see what it might look like, and then see what others thought first.

A friend suggested trying to get through to the staff, since the Athletic Dept would likely tie a good idea up in bureaucracy.

I'd really like to see the team hit the road for the UF game with the away version of the Power T Jersey & orange pants...kind of a visual statement that this isn't the "same old" Tennessee.
