Trump Assassination Attempt(s)

My understanding is that they do and are in the US Secret Service. Look at all the videos from ex-special force snipers talking about the shot. Where do we find the best snipers in the nation?
Around 20% of the usss are veterans. Like I said, there are military type positions but not very many.

Well after this disaster, maybe we need more. Law Enforcement is on par, IMO, for the role as well and I pointed that out.

I find it crazy that you don't understand that Special Forces units don't engage in roles that are perfect for the US SS. They are the experts in Counter-Terrorism/Counter-Insurgency.

I didn't watch the hearing. Read the posts in the thread, though.

Isn't it good to know that when there isn't room for politics the two sides can attack an issue with poignant questions, preparedness, and unity.

Just imagine if the DC leaders could get behind a smaller government, good financial stewardship, and adherence to our constitution.

I have a decent idea what they do and what they look for. The "we need all special forces guys" seems like you think this is some elite military unit. They're high level investigative service also tasked with protection.

How did their “high level” investigative skills work when it came to determining where cocaine came from in the White House? Guess they do a good job until it comes to having to actually do something.

IMO she and her staff and handlers are prepping for a presidential bid in the future.

Or VP

I thought similarly.

If she strikes that tone, professionalism, and level-headed logic moving forward, she could easily be the first female POTUS (assuming Joe doesn't die on before January).

The issue is her history. Her collaboration with Fab 5 and Bernie Sanders makes her far too radical to be elected. She would have to distance herself from her past. She definitely has likeability and, from what Congressman like Andy Ogles and John Rose stated about her, she was actually pretty civil off camera with Republicans, notably for a Democrat.

I thought the same thing.

Most politicians do. They gravitate towards the center in the national. The "grow" or "understand the issues more deeply" or have "modified their stance".

But this is exactly how you know when politicians are looking to cast a wider net. They take on more centrist stances and statements publicly and call to cooperate with other moderates across the isle on "safe", less divisive issues.
