Trump Assassination Attempt(s)

Did Kimberly Cheatle have any military background or experience?

I honestly think that a SS Director should have a background in our Special Forces (Green Beret, Navy Seal, Rangers, etc.) or Federal law information (i.e. FBI) that is related to combat experience and enforcement.
Why? Most of the secret service has no such experience

Already addressed in another post but hiring someone without this experience would be like taking the NCAA 2025 Football Video Game Champion and hiring him as your college football coach. Would you be excited as a Tennessee fan if we did that?

Or electing a reality TV star as POTUS

Anybody see anything simple like this in Butler on 7/13?

Security around the Grand America Hotel, where Zelenskyy will speak, was tight Thursday. Dump trucks sat around the perimeter along with multiple state law enforcement vehicles.

The agencies/groups that I cited have the strongest experience in both categories. Someone that has performed service for our country would have both experience in investigation and protective detail. FBI, Military Special Forces, etc. would know how to best utilize fire arms, secure perimeters, assess threats, etc. In most instances, they would also have some form of law enforcement background as well. I would see TBI agents or some higher level police positions being good fits as well but Corporate Security is not good enough.

Out of curiosity, who are the candidates you are alright with in the Secret Service?

Nancy Mace was awesome!

Why can’t Cheatle be jailed for contempt of Congress by refusing to answer any questions?

Most likely the public will never know anything official, not really. The Truth left a long time ago. I haven't even bothered to watch any of this... its a waste of time. My take is they left the door open for anyone to do what they wanted to Orange.

Very low risk, super high reward. Kind of like Russia Gate, Lawfare, etc.

Unless someone is able to do mass firings and mass indictments for stuff, nothing is going to change.

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle offered a bizarre excuse for why there had not been an agent on the rooftop where a gunman fired shots at former President Donald Trump.

The director explained it's because the agency generally 'prefers sterile rooftops.'

Comer said a 'huge question that every American has' is why there wasn't a Secret Service agent on the roof.

'When we are providing 'overwatch' whether that be through counter snipers or other technology, [we] prefer to have sterile rooftops,' Cheatle said.

Cheatle had initially tried not to answer whether there had been any agent on the roof that day and whether law enforcement had used drones that day to survey the scene, to the groans of committee members.

She later admitted the FBI had informed Secret Service that the shooter had flown a drone on the day of the shooting.

At the time of the shooting, law enforcement agents were inside the building, 147 yards away from where Trump stood, but not on top of it.

She said that shooter Crooks had been deemed 'suspicious' but not 'threatening' ahead of when Trump took the stage.

The high level operators are on the high level usss teams. Their abilities would likely be wasted on what a regular agent does. Many are not law enforcement and the service actually encourages that. It really doesn't seem like you have a firm grasp on what the usss actually does.

Sounds like you do. You are making my brain hurt...

At the very least, they should have some form of leadership experience in a law enforcement or special forces organization.

I have a decent idea what they do and what they look for. The "we need all special forces guys" seems like you think this is some elite military unit. They're high level investigative service also tasked with protection.

Leavitt’s 2015 report highlighted previous stunning failures in presidential security, including officials in 2014 allowing then-POTUS Barack Obama in an elevator with an armed guard with a criminal history of three arrests including shooting at a fleeing vehicle with a child inside.

The man also later slipped between agents and got inside Obama’s security formation.

The report detailed a March 2015 incident ‘where two intoxicated senior USSS officials—including a top official on the President’s protective detail—interfered with a crime scene involving a bomb threat just outside the White House grounds.’

While staying in Cartagena, Colombia, for a presidential visit in April 2012, 13 agents took prostitutes back to their hotel rooms. After the scandal was revealed that month, four agents were fired, five resigned and one retired.

In September 2014 a veteran with PTSD carrying a knife jumped the White House fence and entered the building’s front door.

Omar Gonzalez was overpowered by security after her burst through the front door of the White House and got as far the executive mansion's East Room.

That is effectively what Special Forces also performed. You are ok with a Corporate Security team that has no experience under fire to command people in very challenging situations that put people at risk. You are insane and not worth arguing with. I literally can't believe someone is arguing these points with me.

Secret Service is basically a law enforcement and security apparatus but you are fine hiring people with 0 law enforcement/security experience. Corporate Security protects property and not necessarily people (they do have some protection of people but it is usually in alignment with law enforcement. I know this because I traveled to a risk nation and work directly with my Corporate Security in this process). There is a reason that my Corporate Security team brought in the local FBI Regional Field Agents for our training on "Active" shooters.

I'm letting you know what is happening. The Navy Seals are not charged with investigations like the usss conducts. Not sure how you really believe they even similar. If you want to aggrieved they should make up the response teams then they do. But the tank and file special agents wade nothing like an elite military unit nor should they be. There's a fork and a knife in the table for a reason

She spent 27yrs in the protection operations dept and then was head of security for a huge Corp. To pawn this off as a dei hire is just lazy and pretty dumb
Was this 27 years in the SS? If so that's a long time.

I don't think you know what special forces are about and I am not just talking about your regular special forces soldier but their leadership. Military leadership definitely has to do all these functions. They engage in Counter-Terrorism operations. They even work with JAG and others to understand rules of engagement, etc. They are definitely qualified.

Then why don't they apply?
