He can do whatever he wants. I don't know what that means. Now if he isn't cooperating than I wouldn't be surprised by pulling them but that has to do with cooperation.

People keep on saying how stupid government is, but all I see is them manufacturing a bunch of ****, creating chaos, etc and nobody goes to jail for it. Are they stupid?

I doubt very seriously he can do whatever he wants. I admit I don't know SOP for SS protection. But if he wanted to go to Gaza and stroll around unattended, there's not a chance he is allowed to do so.

Huh. He can tell them to get off his property and to go suck an egg, not saying that would happen. The SS are there for equal benefit to each party through cooperation not law.

seems like there would be party rules for protection for presidential nominees (but i have no idea, just my logical assumption)

Disagree. “So close” is simply this example. One of many, and many have been far worse - so I’m not sure why you keep attempting to downplay all of it as merely “so close”.

You don’t create an environment, and then complain about the environment you find yourself in.

I don't support harassment of any kind. Even if the person in question "deserves it." But also, like, maybe don't put yourself in a situation where you might get harassed.

I didn’t create this environment, and IIRC most of it early on related to people like this who were being racist and harassing people at work. Now LOTT minions are showing up at Home Depot to…harass people at work

If the status has 9 likes, it could easily not be public and could be limited to friends of the person who posted it. Commenting on that isn’t really “a situation where you might get harassed” normally, but now busybodies are screenshotting them and sending them to LOTT who delights in posting them

There isn't really a point in investigating this, other than to appease angry citizens. If this was a "hit job" by another agency, it will get buried and never see the light of day.

If it was simply a case of gross incompetence, no one will actually believe it anyways. Department heads will roll, but that's about it. No one that was on site will actually take credit for the failure.

I get all the jokes, and there may be plenty of room for improvement at her job, but I do have to give this woman credit, her job is to take a bullet to protect the former president, if necessary.

She got out of her car and seems willing to do that.

I am sitting behind a computer screen.

Credit to her for her willingness to die for someone she may not even agree with or support, even if she seems to us to have areas for improvement in other aspects of the performance of her job.
