He's obsessed with the idea that it took Jack Black a whole 48 hours to decide to kill his two-decade long passion project and divorce from his best friend. The fact that he didn't immediately walk off the stage makes everything that comes after suspect.

A reminder, that ladder may not be the one Crooks used. That was taken well after the shooting and it just as likely a ladder on hand for the LEOs and SS to reach the deadly sloped roof.

Very possible. Here’s a big issue though that hasn’t been really addressed: that roof appears to be a metal roof, which should have been pretty noisy inside the building once he started moving around on it. How did the SS agents inside it not hear him and call for someone to check it out?

As the FBI investigation continues, questions are swirling about how the 20-year-old was able to ascend undetected to the roof, gain a direct line of sight and fire several rounds at the former president. The alleged gunman's motive was also still unclear as the investigation continue Wednesday. Crooks was killed at the scene, the Secret Service said.

The problem with that, in context.... that isn't what happened. They KNEW he was there. So logically, they wanted him dead, right? What actually did they do?

Nah, that's a sarcastic interpretation. To me, it seems he is reminding that Jack thought it was funny in the moment and afterward changed his tune.
Having been hit with something unexpected in front of a crowd as an emcee, I can absolutely affirm the take in the moment is not necessarily the take afterwards.

Full disclosure, I think Jack Black is a super funny man and good human to boot. But i couldn't name one Tenacious D song.

Not only was there a security blindspot, but he knew where it was days prior. That would indicate security insight.
This scenario is rather frightening to consider.

Who are they? Seems like it was an extremely misguided 20 year old. You think he was the choice of "them" to take out Trump? Trump would have been taken out a long time ago if "they" would have carried out an op to do so.

I'm not saying I buy into any conspiracy theory but.....

IF you were to take out Trump and it looked too professional or had too many complicated layers that could be compromised and lead back to those plotting........ An easily manipulated patsy who wouldn't ask too many questions and didn't have a lot of people in his circle is the perfect choice.

But someone inexperienced as he was isn't the most reliable in executing the plan and making the kill. If he does or doesn't succeed the end is the same, he's killed. If he's caught prepping or setting up he doesn't know enough to compromise anyone.

So that said I'm not convinced this was a conspiracy. I think it just as if not more likely he was just a random guy who struggled with relationships, felt like an outsider and wanted to feel like and be seen as someone important.

Add a not very vigilant SS director and subordinates to the mix and this is where we are IMO....... But I'm not completely ruling out conspiracy.

I may have an incorrect timeline, but I think the LEO on site checked it out ...i just don't know if that was from noise on the roof or being told over coms....and when the local checked it out Crooks aimed the rifle at him.

The ladder had me vexed for a time as well until RockyTop straightened me out.

I have no idea what kind of person he is, I can name a few TD songs... thought Shallow Hal was okay, but he is a one trick pony and everything else kind of sucks. That is okay, some of us have zero tricks. At some point that strange routine takes over the personality, and in his case maybe not so great anymore.

I've been in many moments where my reaction didn't match how I truly felt once I had time to think about it, and that was without the pressure of performing on stage. This is a normal part of life. I actually believe her. This is where we are in America. I work in the utility industry. The "safety" protocols and prejudices probably did call for them to have 100% fall protection, tied off, Buddy system, etc.

The fall protection they wear is sophisticated and adaptable. We sell some options so I'm somewhat familiar with it. There are systems that could have easily been adapted for use on that building.
