Trump Assassination Attempt(s)

Republican nutjob tries to kill another Republican nutjob. And who's/what's to blame ... DEI. Gotta love the GOP.

People always seem to buy into what the already believe. Every classmate I have seen interviewed said he was a loner and bullied. How would they know him well enough to know his political leaning?

^^^^ This ^^^^ is from when her appointment of a special master was overturned by the 11th Circuit Court. Her ruling today is even worse than that one was. The 11th Circuit Court will vacate another one of her Pro-Trump decisions. Judge Aileen Cannon is obviously biased in Trump's favor.

I'm not denying that she could be biased but so were the NY judges and the DC judge, I didn't hear you whining about them.

And as far as her ruling being overturned, what the 11th does or doesn't do is immaterial since it will end up in front of SCOTUS if not dropped by the DOJ before it can get there.

It will be interesting to see how long the truce on heated rhetoric lasts.

My guess is both conventions reflect it.

But I'd give it maybe 10 days after that. Hope I'm wrong.
You're probably right but the Republicans don't really need to use rhetoric. All they have to do is point out the sh!t stain this administration has been. It speaks for itself.

I think that's actually protocol. They are shielding him and blocking all possible angles for any opportunity for a targeted follow up shot in case there are still active or multiple shooters. Remember, they are wearing the latest and best lightweight body armor, the safest place for the protected is under layers of all those agents with armor on.

Leading him offstage without a secure perimeter would expose the protected to more shots.

There were plenty of moments where he was exposed and not being fully covered.

Which part of her ruling today is incorrect, and why?

I understand you don't like the ruling or the result, and you may be correct that it will be overturned, but I am asking which part of her reasoning is unsound and led to the erroneous decision. I skimmed it, but it was 93 pages, and I am admittedly not an expert in this area of the law; I am not picking a fight, I am legit interested in your opinion as to where she went astray. Aside, obviously, from the end result.

Failures on so many levels

Yall seen this? Havent read this mornings posts yet since 2am or so this morning...but he talks about the SS sniper saying he had scope on assassin for 3 minutes but his superiors in his earpiece would not give him a greenlight to fire on him? If this is true then we have a big problem...

Edit: guy in the comments is LEO and he says this is BS. I hope that it is. I think its pretty clear that this was a massive failure to protect Trump overall, but its a stretch to say it was intentional on anyones part except the shooter at this point.

1. Young people are highly impressionable and are easily radicalized. Would certainly not be out of the ordinary for him to change political affiliations.

2. He donated to a Democrat PAC. So quite clearly he wasn't "staunchly to the right" if he was donating to a Democrat PAC.

3. What is his classmate considering "stauchly to the right?" If his classmate was far left, they might consider someone like Tulsi Gabbard "staunchly to the right".

Do you have any information for us related to Jack Smith's 0-9 record with the USSC?

Its kind of relative, I thought they did a good job on the ground there. I mean, you had multiple people up there in like 3 seconds. They were risking their lives as shields.

I'm sure in hindsight when they go over it, they'll probably talk about forcing the subject off stage. Let's not escape the moment either though.

Whatever someone wants to say about Trump... is fine, but he is probably the toughest politician in modern American history.

Someone also posted a video clip of him shouting obscenities towards Republicans. I would say that is more document proof than a class mate's description.

Why would he post it to 4chan or whatever janky website that is instead of FB or somewhere we can verify that it's him?

I have information concerning one of Judge Aileen Cannon's Pro-Trump rulings, that was already vacated by the 11th Circuit Court in this same case. As a matter of fact, I just provided a link to it in that post you replied to.

It's a post on 4chan or something similar claiming to be the SS sniper. I don't believe it.

He is explaining the tactics not giving an excuse for lack of properly carrying them out. Trump should have never been allowed to stand straight up, he should have been carried down in a 4 hand seat carry and shielded by other agents from all angles.

Where are you getting the idea that this is more flawed than that?

US Attorneys are principle officers appointed with advice and consent, right? A special counsel is equivalent to a U.S. Attorney. But there wasn’t a senate vote on Jack Smith so that is out.

Congress can delegate authority for an appointment of lesser officers by statute. That’s a big question, I haven’t looked to see whether they have done that. Clarence Thomas says they haven’t. I genuinely don’t know.

The 11th circuit has been pretty solid, but I think it’s copium to think this case was going to do anything after July 1st at the latest. You want to get rid of Donald Trump, you have to vote.

The ruling is proper. In their haste to get Trump, they worked with Nat. Archives to plant evidence, worked with the FBI to film the raid at MAL that even Spielberg would be envious of, staged the photos for the corrupt media, and appointed an illegal SC. All this would be hidden still with a corrupt liberal judge that they were hoping for. Luckily a fair judge was appointed who followed the law allowing justice to prevail.

Well, the fact that apparently leftoids think it's some impossible task to register for another party's primary is their main talking point.

It's the new GlAsS sHaRd, and it's a shite argument.

The timing of her ruling also raises questions. She probably thinks that dismissing it this morning would reduce the amount of public pushback that she will receive, because everyone is focused on the assassination attempt.

This whole thing is very underhanded. Judge Aileen Cannon is all-aboard the Trump Train.

Is there any doubt who Donald Trump's first nominee to fill a Supreme Court vacancy will be (if there is one) ? There shouldn't be after this.

This stinks worse than Old Spice after-shave gel.

That was after the response team secured the perimeter. Once the shots rang the response was to cover and hold in place until they worked out the extent of the threat.

Every situation is different, by the motorcade, you get him into the vehicle, especially one with blast resistant glass and body panels. In the open you smother the protected with bodies and body armor. The response was fairly quick.

The failure was in planning and securing the outer perimeter, in particular failing to secure and properly monitor a high threat zone. If they did know they failed to neutralize a threat.......... Either way that's where the failure/incompetence comes into play.

The immediate response team seemed pretty on the mark IMO...... I'm certainly not an expert though.
