Trump Assassination Attempt(s)

Watching Kaitlan Collins on CNN and they’re talking about “the rhetoric”.

Their only example is JD Vance’s inflammatory comments in the aftermath.

No mention of Nazi or Hitler or Existential Threat or End of Democracy or Must be Stopped.

CNN does not appear to be able to move on from the role they’ve been playing in all of this. Which is kinda sad.

I have no reason to think it wasn't a bullet that got him. I was speaking strictly from the likelihood that it wouldn't have gone into his brain, as you suggested, considering the angle of the bullet. Head area? Yes

My conclusion was arrived at by watching 3 straight days of CSI while staying at a Holiday Inn Express 😉

Chilling out on a roof with an AR pointed at the Former POTUS isnt exigent circumstances?
It’s the definition of exigent circumstances, which is why a police officer was able to go investigate and found out that he had a rifle, at which point dude panicked and took a shot, at which point the snipers shot him because they had the roof covered.

Once again, how was he able to climb the roof with a freaking AR?

I said that watching the video, it appeared that after being shot, surrounded by agents shielding him from any further threat, Trump actually wanted to return to the microphone to continue speaking. Indeed he did. “I wanted to keep speaking — I wanted to keep speaking, but I just got shot,” Trump said with a little laugh. “It’s a very surreal experience, and you never know what you’re going to do until a thing like that happens.”

Trump explained that before Saturday night, he had finished the speech he planned to give later this week at the Republican convention. “I basically had a speech that was an unbelievable rip-roarer,” he said. “It was brutal — really good, really tough. [Last night] I threw it out. I think it would be very bad if I got up and started going wild about how horrible everybody is, and how corrupt and crooked, even if it’s true. Had this not happened, we had a speech that was pretty well set that was extremely tough. Now, we have a speech that is more unifying.”

Trump knows it’s a long shot. “It has an impact,” he said of the assassination attempt. “Now, maybe the impact will wear off if the other side gets nasty.” It seems quite likely that that is exactly what will happen and the fighting will resume, even though both Trump and President Joe Biden are talking about unity.

Not a shot, multiple shots

Are you drunk? There is a plausible scenario that I’ve already laid out that a sober person of your intelligence should be able to grasp.

Private property.
If owner says “stay off my lawn,” police and USSS can’t do much of anything to limit access at that point.
Once law enforcement are alerted that someone is on the roof, it’s investigated because exigent circumstances exist to allow them on the property.
Available facts about the investigation indicate that it essentially hastens the attempt.
Once the attempt is made, secret service are free to engage.

It’s not a certainty one way or the other, but there are plausible scenarios where they did the best they could under the circumstances.

Did the police investigate because of the SS telling them to or because of all the people on the ground telling them too.

Given his length of time on the roof, the number of shots he fired, Im skeptical the version you provided has been sanitized for CYA purposes.....

If they had it covered, and were in investigation mode, why did the sniper have to visibly change his position before returning fire? Why wasn't his rifle fixed on the guys melon already?

Almost as sad as the article they posted about threats and actual acts of violence against Presidents and candidates going back to the early 1800s. They tried to give the impression that there was nothing to see and this type of incident happens every week.

Or maybe you are relaying an overly sanitized version the HSA and SS want you to believe.

That’s weak AF. “I don’t know what really happened, but the existence of other plausible scenarios doesn’t diminish the validity of my speculation.”

If that’s the official version, that’s funny, because I haven’t read it. I’m just thinking through other plausible explanations of how that roof is left unguarded and unattended.
