Trump Assassination Attempt(s)

Incompetence, negligence, or intentionality are pretty much the only three options that I see trying to look at it objectively

I'll expand on your criteria a little bit but agree in principle with you.

Human Error
Incompetence
Neglience
Willful Neglience
Intentional

Safe to say this goes beyond basic human error. It's not an intentional hit or Trump would be dead right now.

It's one of the other 3....

Same with the bullseye comment. That's the point I was making that you clearly missed while attempting to take a shot at me.

Except that the "bloodbath" term was clearly used in the context of a speech about the auto industry and clearly referring to the loss of jobs and failure of manufacters in that particular industry. It had nothing to with loss of human life or spilling of human blood.

Biden's reference, while supposedly a figure of speech, was aimed directly at one specific individual...Donald Trump.

Huge difference, and really no calc comparison between the two remarks.

I wonder if someone on the other extreme will now try and target Biden? Or if we'll see more attempts on Trump? The political division in this country is off the rails. You have more and more people clinging to their political ideology as the only way forward. This country was built on the art of compromise, but no one wants to do that anymore. It's become all or nothing.

It's how you view it. It's fuel on the fire of all the rhetoric. How did old Joe mean it? Was he talking about nerf guns? The only way to take Trump's comment out of context was to eliminate much of it. Biden's is inflammatory in its whole.

You posted a 3 month poll within margin or error. Here is a recent poll for those 18-34 (most likely to file protest vote).

Common sense speaking, Biden's voters are far more apatheic and likely to sit out or make protest vote....

And Fox is giving him this platform for that reason. A vote for RFK is a vote not for Biden...
Democrats don't watch Fox News .... and RFK Jr.'s highest profile policy position (anti-vax) is not popular at all with the left-wing. Biden will inspire nothing but apathy, but there isn't going to be some large protest vote for RFK Jr. among Democrats either. Whenever you see positive things being spoken about RFK Jr. on the internet, it is invariably from a right-wing echo chamber such as the VolNation politics forum. It is never on a liberal site.

As I said elsewhere, this notion was put out there amidst all the noise of immediate reaction amd uncertainty, and it got picked up full bore by the right wing social media echo chamber, which is often the case with them, to the point that MAGA members, especially those that get their news from such sources, simply accepted it because it was seen in more than one forum.

I do hope some university group takes the time after this settles down to go back, find the source of the original false claim, then explore how it took on a life of its own like this

Quite a commentary on the need to beware these blogs that depend on clicks and reposts. Heck, there was a picture and claim here last night of a guy from ANTIFA saying he was the shooter and had been arrested.

Where did that come from and what was the agenda ?

The song Family Snapshot by Peter Gabriel comes to mind - inspired by the book about the guy who tried to kill George Wallace. Guy wanted fame. It's worth a listen but pretty haunting -- I'll wait a few days before I listen.
Easily my favorite Gabriel song. I think from the "melt" album.

Maybe RFK goes on to Fox News because CNN and MSNBC wont give him the same time since it hurts Biden...

Expect both. Humans gonna human.

I won't keep harping on this but what is odd about the left attempting to label people as Hitler or a threat to democracy, is that during 1930's Germany it was the media who helped to demonize the Jews and label them leading to dehumanizing them.
IKR it’s crazy.. it’s like they they trying to bring back into fashion like bell bottoms or wedge shoes.. rampant anti-semitism and calling everyone Nazis, when they are in fact, not Nazis lol
