Beam has been the Ace all season even though he pitches on Saturday.

One game CTV goes with Beam.

He is our ACE but i don’t feel like he is a shut down pitcher that teams fear like you see a lot of years.

There is a lot of factors that play into it at this time of the year. I don’t think TV handled our staff very well in 2022 and we were dealing with a lot of tired arms. This year…. he has handled the staff much better.. Of course… the bats that are used in college will always be the great equalizer. The ball really flies off the bat in college.

You are being an idiot…. Did I say anything negative about our staff… I even stated that I felt our pitching staff has been good…. I was only discussing whether ERA is the best metric which I don’t feel that it is.

ECU will defeat Evansville today, Evansville has zero pitching. ECU pitching isn't much better but a little better situation then the Purple Aces.

As far as a individual saying one of these 2 teams will be worn down for Super Regional, I think Supers are Saturday -Monday.

Where do batters learn their routine they do after every pitch?

Nervous twitch that most are totally unaware they are doing it. Look up Joe Morgan…..his happens in the stance but is the same.

Think I saw something last night that said half are Fri-Sun and half are Sat-Mon. NCAA assigns after today. Seems like they should be the same, but it is the NCAA we are talking about. Probably trying to spread out TV times.

Where do batters learn their routine they do after every pitch?

It’s a reset to help you focus on the next pitch….. no different than the routine a player does when shooting free throws… My son re straps his batting gloves… touches his bat to the front and back corner of the plate.. touches his chest and points to heaven.

I suggested the batting gloves to help him refocus…. I have no idea where he got the rest.

Agreed. We don’t have an ACE this year. I love Beam (no homo) but Beam is solid. Tends to get hit pretty good from time-to-time with him being in the league for the 3rd year. Still wouldn’t trade him for anyone else though. Great kid!

Another guy who shall remain nameless and is now at home watching us would be our ace if he were still with us. But he’d probably also be a cancer to the team so…. adios.
