The impression I get is that many LV fans expect and demand a Pat-level of domination in a sport that has gotten so much deeper since she left. It's a no win job as you said because what many fans want to achieve, I think, is impossible. The world's biggest d-bag Geno doesn't even achieve at that level anymore, and 2 of the best programs in that sport are in the SEC now.FF or bust may be out but making the FF still isn’t going to be some crowning achievement either. It’s a no win job with no advantages.
To be fair they looked pretty mediocre though. Sloppy, lazy, slow paced. They aren't a fun watch. The impression I get is that many LV fans expect and demand a Pat-level of domination in a sport that has gotten so much deeper since she left. The LVs weren't even awful this year (5th in SEC) but you'd think they'd gone 0-16 based on some of the comments the fans make.

I agree, but part of that is they look sloppy, lazy, and slow paced relative to a very high expectation. They look like (and have been, for the last several years) a run of the mill program, which I get is below expectations, but lots of LV fans act like they lose every game.To be fair they looked pretty mediocre though. And she played at Virginia, so it’s not like she has a long-standing allegiance to South Carolina, even though she built that program. I say that having zero knowledge of what their program was like before she got there, but historically, LVBB is miles beyond South Carolina and I think she would excel in Knoxville.I did not realize she played in the wnba and coached D1 basketball at the same time for years.
