The Atlanta Braves - Hello darkness my old friend

I had doubts for a long time that Alabama would legalize it but it sounds like it might come in 2025. Alabama is one of only 5 states that does not have a state lottery.
I don't care about a lottery, it's just a tax on stupid people . But i do want table games and sports betting. This was the first time it had been voted on here since the 90's I think.

I just meant that as a state, they still have a hang up about a lottery, so legalizing betting on sports always seemed really unlikely to me. Utah will never legalize it either.

Now, the most backwards state that will probably never legalize it is South Carolina.

I think they tried a bill not too long ago and it wasn't even close.

There is zero class or dignity in gambling “online” real men gamble on riverboats or via seedy individuals in dark alleys
First time I gambled was in high school on a parlay via a student called ‘Will the Thrill’ whose dad ran the tavern in town. Easy pick in the day was any Nebraska squad against the world.

I learned when I was trying to build some wild ass 15 legger for CFB.
It kept telling me it was invalid so I googled it.

I'm just not a fan of someone limiting my ability to make money, although the chances of me ever having to worry about that is pretty much 0.
I'm surprised that's the law. If someone makes over $1 million, why does the state care? Doesn't that mean more money for them too?

It might just be FanDuels rule because when I google it, it comes up in the house rules of several other states as well.

I just know at one point you used to could do more, but now depending on your bet and wager it will tell you it's invalid if you go over.

Yeah...in Tennessee's case, there is no state income tax, so I'm not sure why they'd care. Makes more sense for it to be a book's rule. The state is making their cut from the licensing fees and that aforementioned 1.85% tax on the handle, so as long as people are in there placing bets the government doesn't care.

I know too that in Tennessee if you win $600, you have to report it on your tax return. Even if you don't actually make $600 for the entire year. If your winnings are at any point equal or more than $600, must be on your tax return.

Not true

So, I'm building my bracket today, and I can't not build a bracket without a FF appearance.

I'm actively trying not to take us that far, but the bracket opens up so well.
I'll admit to filling out a lot of brackets, which some consider cheating. As far as the higher seeds go, I am exposed if Alabama or Duke make some kind of deep run. I think I have them in the Sweet 16 in maybe one bracket.

I only do one. I think it's more fun that way.

I like Charleston taking out Bama and James Madison taking out Duke.

My biggest issue is, I don't see us meeting Creighton, I have Oregon making a run(maybe that's recency bias), and then in the FF, I keep ending up with AM or UK.

I’ve only done one bracket, and it was the VN bracket. I’ve got UConn, UNC, Kentucky, and Creighton in the Final Four with UConn beating Creighton in the championship.
My thing with that champ matchup, they're from the same conference. There's a mental thing that won't let me do it.
