I know the horseshoe shape the stadium makes is a huge part of its charm (and the nickname for the stadium itself), but it honestly kind of makes for a weird look because it isn't fully enclosed. There's the original horseshoe seating, then they eventually just dropped in another set of bleachers on the open end that doesn't connect to the existing seating. Sanford is the same way. IMO, it is kind of a "small school" look. It makes the stadium look smaller than it actually is.
I "snuck" into Cameron Indoor a few years ago (early 2000s). They had the floor papered over and set up for graduation. I couldn't believe how small a gym it was. I knew it was smaller venue but it was tiny. It did however have a "feel" to it, just like being in Neyland. You can just feel the history of the place. It was extremely cool to be in there by myself. *I used up all 24 exposures on my disposable camera. 🤣

Quinn Ewers is the current top prospect tho Prime’s PR machine is running full tilt for Shadeur. There’s usually a surprise guest who emerges out of nowhere.
Riley Leonhard should be near top of QB board after this season also.

Injuries hampered him somewhat at Duke, if he stays healthy at Notre Dame he could be a 1st round projection.

As someone who unfortunately lives in Charlotte and just finished a big project in Columbia ... its a 75 to 90 minute drive from downtown Charlotte to the festering hole that is Columbia and USC campus depending on traffic. Surely the only reason they are even in the mix is because he could drive home every weekend...or just for supper everyday lol. I commuted every day for months working down there. Its a straight shot down I77 all the way. Other than that SC has nothing to offer whatsoever.
Stationed in Beaufort about 50 years ago. The fishing fresh and salt was terrific.

I think they've tried everything. This is it. Coaches, sports psych, teammates and family can only do so much. He has so much support. He either finds it in himself or he doesn't.
If he can just remember the reason he plays basketball - his love for this game and his love for his teammates - he’ll be OK. If they all play for that love, that joy, we’ll go far.

I was asking about Chase and others this morning.
Perfect example of give these young guys time and reps.

Could end up a Michael Penix story. Epic season but redflagged with the injuries and projected second day.

Seen this morning Kiper has McCarthy to Vikings and Bo Nix to Broncos in 1st round after the top 3 come off the board..

Also read that Johnathan Brooks from Texas is a possible pick for Cowboys at RB along with Jaylen Wright.

man, this bracket is tough. i got a lot of chalk....what upsets i do have, i don't have any making it past the sweet 16. i think Grand Canyon, UNM, James Madison, SAmford, UVA or CO St can win a game or two. after that it's hard to see a lot of those making out of the 2nd weekend. if Samford does beat KU, and i think they will, i think they can beat Gonzaga, but they're not beating Purdue. Same with James Madison, the're not beating HOU....i don't trust Duke, i could see a JMU/Vermont game. either way, i'm not sure Duke makes it any further than the sweet 16....i don't see them beating HOU either.

SDSU...that's another one...but would auburn really lose to them? if if they get past that, they're not getting past Uconn.

GCU or UNM in the West...they're not beating UNC/AZ/Bama/, are they?

our part of our braket is maybe the hardest 8 to figure. SC can beat Oregon, but could they beat Creighton? UVA and CO St is a battle of styles, and both styles can be a problem for an opponent. i could see the winner of that game beating TX. honestly outside of maybe Oregon, every team in our pod presents some issues for us, if we're not firing on all cylinders.....

i think we wind up against Creighton in the Sweet 16, and i think that's a tough match up. but get past that, chalk again Purdue/TN or Creighton.

i'm not sure anyone lower than a 3 seed gets to the final four, and i think it may be difficult for a 4 to get to the elite 8. Bama and UK are the two 4 seeds though that could. but that, again sets up BAma/UNC and UK/UH.....and UH is uber elite on defense. UNC/Bama....pick 'em.

ultimately i have Uconn and HOU in for sure...then from the West, UNC, AZ, or maybe Bama...and in the Midwest...Purdue and maybe TN or Creighton.

i do have us playing HOU in a final four game in one of my brackets. but i have Uconn winning all of my brackets. in one bracket, i have all 4 1 seeds in the final 4.

worst match ups for us in order, imo, are....USCe, Creighton, Co St, UVA, TX, Oregon, Akron, st pete. the only team that worries me in the top of our bracket is Purdue. if we could get to the Elite 8 against anyone other than them...i really, really, really like our chances. but i think we're gonna have a hard time just getting out of our pod.

gotta flush the last two weeks, and get back to Mid February form....that team that won 7 straight after loising to aTm.....that's the team that needs to show up starting Thursday. that team is going to be very hard to beat....if it's not that team.....well, hold on to your butts.

Their spring practice starts today, and I think it would be pretty newsworthy if he didn’t participate, so you’ll probably have a clearer picture soon.

I kinda wonder if we’d even take him back, at this point.

I have no say in the matter but when I read he was in the portal again I didn't care to see him back. Maybe the days of players playing for their school are long gone but I still am fond of the players we've had that could have played anywhere in the country and chose to play here.

After time to reflect, I realized you are a great poster; and if you misunderstood what I meant, it was almost surely my fault for being unclear. And that many others would likely misunderstand what I meant, too. So I went back and nuked that part of the post. On even further reflection, I now see that my being bitter about bitterness is just more bitterness. You were right. Thank you for helping me out.

The 6 seed is great news!
