Yeah, I am really tired of all the scams they run for the cash and sell it like it is great for the game.

It is all so convoluted and arbitrary, which devalues the body of work over the course of a season.

Basevols drop from 5 to 8. Funny how teams above us lose to unranked/ mediocre teams and don’t drop any or drop 1 spot. We lose 2 to a ranked team in road and plummet. Oh yeah, Florida is 12-7 and jumped over us to #6 with a lot of bad losses already, and somehow Vandy jumped from 9 all the way to 3.

I don’t mind the reverse mojo stuff and it’s not negative when you guys are simply going on facts with Tenn’s history in March, this team has the pedigree to prove history wrong it’s up to them to go out and do it.

I think we should convince (ask very nicely and respectfully) Al Wilson to do football commentary. Everyone on any show he appears would pick the Vols or he would fly into a rage and maim them, in an impartial and thoughtful manner. It's not like the networks don't have seven second delay.

It does make sense for some of the smaller conferences. Underdogs steal bids from at-larges that are on the bubble. In that way, it is a "bubble tournament" so to speak to give some teams a last shot at making it.

But if you're already in, winning your conference tournament means little to nothing.

It's talking points for the talking heads that depend on controversy and attention (Lunardi), and an "extra data point" (reasoning, excuse) for the committee to explain their decision making process.

I agree with this. NBA prospect in Knecth finally bringing big time scoring and lots of veterans. Mashack being awesome at defense and Aidoo giving us quality minutes down low, we certainly could make a run for the championship.

But damn if some of those veterans don't keep disappearing.

At least with baseball & basketball, rankings aren't overly important. They'll get the chance to thumb their nose at the rankings and bring home hardware regardless of where the "experts" rank them.

see, i don't even think he needs to do anything extraordinary....he just can't be out there and a complete non factor. a few timely buckets, continue to be the scrappy defender, get a turnover or two....just need to leave his fingerprints on the game(s). don't need him to get double digit scoring (i'll take it, for sure), but as part of the whole. i think him and Mashak kinda play similar roles. don't need either of them to stand out on the stat sheet. but if between the 2, you get 12-14 pts, 3 or 4 steals, a few rebounds.....and be a lock down defender...i think we win a lot of games (we have won a lot of games) with that kind of product from them.

I understand both perspectives, btw the rumor is Juju Lewis the QB out of Carrollton GA is thinking about doing this and it pissed off Kirby lol

High School Seniors? that's crazy. and i'm not sure i'd want that on my team either.
