Highly caution against this. We did the UH-60 flyover a few years back and almost plowed right through some Jackwagon’s drone while crossing the river. Pretty sure they sent the police to try to find them. Not only would your equipment get destroyed, you would be responsible for the repairs to the aircraft and the potential of injuries from falling parts on people below. Airplanes tend to stay higher, but the sheriff’s helicopter is always circling around. They now have new ways to monitor any drone activity as well. How many home games into the football season do you think pass before I get arrested for flying a drone near a flyover?
They fly right over my neighborhood before the games. They look really low, but they're probably at least a min of 1,500ft up. I'm restricted to 400' above the highest spot near me. I can cheat and go up to about 1,700ft, but wouldn't do it. I'd hate for something really crappy to happen because I'm acting like a moron.
I don't think the faa restricts low level drone flight when flyovers are happening. I'll be interested to see if they do issue any flight restrictions the week of the game, since they practice the flight all week. I'd like to see something like that C17 Globemaster flying about 1,000' away. . . or a fighter jet. . .
It's several miles from Knoxville. They are probably 2,500ft+ high. My limit is 400', which is about 50-75' above the trees. . . then consider they're also 3/4mi or more away, I dont think it'll be an issue. I won't be doing it if it's restricted, of course.Highly caution against this. Been talking La Rocque up for a bit now. I'll be surprised if Harper doesn't get another year (she shouldnt); but, if she doesn't, and we don't try at a big fish like Waltz...La Rocque would be the first person I looked into. She has done an unbelievable job at UNLV! The only worry I'd have in hiring her is: if she is successful in Knoxville her first couple of seasons, whenever VanDerveer retires at Stanford, would she leave to take that job, if offered. She's from the West (Vegas), and as you said, a Stanford grad. The UNLV women’s coach is 102-21 (82.9%) in the last 4 years… took over after UNLV was 25-35 the 2 years prior. Stanford Graduate, Stanford assistant, Belmont assistant and highly successful HC at 34 years old (much younger than Dawn and Kim). Stanford is a highly successful program with a championship pedigree. Just one of many great options yet we still have pretty holly sinking the ship slowly but surely
