They’re blaming the refs. Like 15 threads about the refs on their site right now lol.

Even their head coach said this in his press conference postgame: “maybe the SEC isn’t ready for us to be regular seasons champs”
Their coach is good, but he has turned into a whiner. He did it all year.

Do not think guy can make it through Barnes's conditioning program.
I don't care if he only makes a couple trips down the floor and needs a sub, he is awesome and would become an instant legendary Vol. The NIL possibilities are endless.

As much as Josiah and Santiago get complained about by some individuals. This makes them leaders of a SEC tournament champion and now a SEC regular season champion. Now individuals need to shut up,

BTW in about a month they will be the leaders of a National Championship team.

As always Go Vols..

The two games highlighted impact our first SECT opponent the most. If Ole Miss wins they'll jump A&M in standings/seedings (same record and will be 2-0 against them). LSU has the head to head with Mississippi State, so the only way they drop from the 7 seed is if they lose to Missouri AND Mississippi State beats South Carolina.

We play the winner of 8 vs 9, so currently that's Mississippi State (8) and Texas A&M (9). The revenge game against the bulldogs would be nice.

He's got a bit of Nate Odom in him.

They play football and get away with it. When I saw the officiating crew I knew the SEC had sent what got us beat several times this year. However, our guys learned well from the experiences and battled back. Make layups and dunks and we win by 15+. But that crew let them slap arms, shove and body people all night in the paint.

Most of the SEC will go down quickly in the NCAA. They will have to play real team basketball and most all of them are one dimensional. Depending on the seeding and draw, IMO Auburn is the only one with enough talent that can adjust somewhat besides our guys. We have learned to adjust to both the opponent and the officials and still win.

This team can win a national title. We’ve got the defense, but can Santi and Josiah hit timely shots when DK has a cold stretch? They can’t disappear offensively if we want to win it all.

Okay, serious question and not getting ahead of the business we still have to take care of --------

I admit I haven't followed our Basketball recruiting as much this year, but I remember only seeing us sign maybe 2 high-tier guys?
With our success over the past few seasons and the entire country watching what happened to Dalton Knecht transferring to UT, shouldn't we have our pick of transfers this offseason or wouldn't you think if there's some diamonds in the rough out there, they'd be looking heavily into us?

Him being that slow highlights how brutally slow our LBs were that we were having to start.

How the hell did we let him single handedly beat our ass

Honestly I think the offense is just as much to blame. In all 4 of the games we lost the offense failed to score 21 points, but the defense gave up at least 28, 3 of them were away games with the only game in Neyland being Georgia. But our LB group got hit the worst by attrition, if we had played Missouri at full strength in the back 7 I think we would have dominated them.

I think Schrader is a special teams guy starting out, wouldn't mention him in the same sentence as a Lynch...but he could easily be a Danny Woodhead type of player and carve out a career for himself although Danny ran a 4.38.

Yeah I don't know, there's a chance he just isn't good running 40s and is faster than the time. It happens, not many players practice that sprinter style of stance/take off.

I don't doubt it. Unless you are in amazing shape, there is NO FREAKING WAY you can play that defense. That's why he always has one of the best. I just hope this is the team that gets us there. (Grant/Admiral team was great, but we ran into that nun and bad call at the end) I don't care much about the SEC tournament-- I hate that they play it right before the NCAA where you get little rest at all. VOLS have been through a gauntlet. We just beat three top teams in a row.
She is still alive. If there is any chance that Loyola makes the tournament we need to put a hit out on her.
