This is a nice midground imo.

But the big leagues would never allow it. And they run things.


Hell... the SEC and B1G are already pushing for auto BYES for their conference champs in football (seems odd, redundant, and soft to begin with...?). These scumbags won't let anyone grab a foothold now that we've let them consolidate into the power brokers SMDH 😑

Football and basketball are two completely different sports...and of course you know that.

My big problem is not with conference tourney champions getting a ticket...it is that small school regular season champs get absolutely screwed by not getting a ticket.

Solution has already been given that would make feel better about it all...take both the tourney and regular season conference champs that actually EARNED a spot one way or the other, and bounce a few major conference at-large teams that ain't earned 💩.

Just getting in the Dance is a massive dream to the kids at those schools.

Can’t believe the officials made that call thus denying worthy kids a chance for a special memory of playing for a HS State Championship . Some of my greatest memories were coaching in 3 state championship games in NJ . (We won 2) Feel so bad for those kids .

Those idiots ought to be lined up and let every one of those kids they f'd over kick them in the nads as hard as they freakin could.

I don’t think we need conference championship games with the expanded playoffs.

Ofc, I'm saying postseason conference championships have similar effects in both.

Fwiw I've been against football conference championship games for some time. I fear one day real soon we're going to get in on the underside and only end up punished for making it.

(Actually, I believe they may just need to be made into an actual part of the playoffs...if they are to keep in existence...then the final 4....6....8 could be all conf champs). Would stop the eventual overload of B1G/SEC teams filling up the new 12...14+ playoffs.

I friggin hate what the B1G and SEC are doing to this sport all for moar $$$ in their commish's pocket. BS 😔
