I'm not necessarily saying better; but, Ron Slay was pretty damn good. He just got better and better every year he was a Vol; his SR year, he went off...21ppg, 8rpg/SEC POY.

Bernard and Houston are up there, too...along with Chris Lofton and Grant.

But, DK is the type of player who can carry us to a championship, I believe. A player like that is nothing but great.

DK is the type of player that defies labeling. You can't just say he's a shooter,a passer, a ball handler, a gamer, a great athlete, a hustler, or he has a nose for the ball. If he can be labeled it would be ball player. If you were to design the perfect player for NBA 2K25 it would be DK.

Another thing to remember about Bernard King, all you old timers know...there's no telling how good he could have truly been, if he didn't have his demons. Drugs, and especially alcohol, took away from him. Hell, at UT, he had already developed alcoholism by the time he graduated...just think what his numbers could have been in college, if he had devoted his drinking time to his game, they would be unapproachable.

He also stole some tvs and beat up a Transexual while at UT.

To me it's going to come down to all-around game.

Edey could easily well be DPoty, while averaging 24 ppg....and 12 boards a game.

Knecht is the best pure scorer in the country imo. But ultimately what I see is he doesn't have another category or area to match Edey's 3 areas.

Knecht is very unlucky. He'd be leading most years I BET.

I say let Edey have it, it will be his last Hurrah. He will be added to the list of players who won POY or the Heisman and were unimpressive as professionals.

This has already been well figured out for decades in comp sci, ai, etc.

It's machine learning. You adapt the system on what to let pass and whistle by teaching it.

Given time - hell yes. And you simply sim it until it's good-to-go and surpasses human reffing by a magnitude.

We've reached the dang moon...AI has reached unthinkable levels in just the past couple couple years. Facial recognition, voice and body recreations, art...literature...it's wild. Things I thought it could never pull off.

I'd love to at least use machine learning for some good. It sure can't be any worse than what all sports around the globe currently have, right?

I'd rather have sh!tty refs and umpires. Helps me get my blood up and clean out the pipes. Just like a hotrod, you can't always just take it out on leisurely drives, you have to get on it once and a while to blow out the carbon.

I think the shame about both Kelly and Holly is how much they truly do love UT and loved Pat. But, unfortunately they just aren’t in the same league as people like Staley, Mulkey and Geno. And that’s what we need to get back to a Final Four level program.

Don't understand what? How remarkable Bernard King was in college? I love Knecht. He's a remarkable player. I don't think he's quite on King's level, IMO.

I see the stats...yes...they are super impressive.

I love Jordan Bone, but he's not better than ZZ. And without looking at the numbers I might take a prime Lamonte Turner over Bone.

It would be tough to choose between ZZ and Chandler. I think I'd have to take Chandler.

I don't really understand how people put Chandler ahead of ZZ...just because of NBA talent bias, or is it because ZZ is so short?
