This aged well.
Apparently, you’re just a jinx. Knecht now has 37 points with 2:57 left to play.
If we win this you all realize it's because Brother Marcus and I are selfless.
Yep. I watched him score 37 at UNC and most of his 30+ games this season so I am OK with missing his season high 39 tonight lol. Glad we could beat Barn...Pearl is now 5-3 head to head vs Barnes at UT IIRC he was 5-2 before tonight so this one was important. Whats crazy is Knecht is a superhero but he actually did miss his 1st 6 or 7 shots of the 2nd half....and STILL finished 12-21 for the game with 39 so he must have seriously made every shot he took and many of them 3s after Dink and I signed off. Wow. I know i have been gushing about the guy all year man....but what we are watching this season just doesnt happen. A random 6ft6 white wing player from Colorado that got ZERO Div1 scholarship offers out of HS doesnt just show up in the SEC to run away with player of the year honors and become a lottery pick in the 1st round (hes projected top 15 by pretty much everyone) that just doesnt happen man. Its some comic book crap lolol. Big kudos to Coach Barnes for bringing him in when scholarships were VERY tight already due to covid years. Even bigger props to Knecht himself who by all accounts showed up on campus from day 1 being dominant in practice. Wow.
What an amazing time to be a VOL man. Wish my Dad and Pappaw could be here for this stuff .
would have been a fun one to be at Dutch. crowd seemed into it when I was watching. It may look that way, but it was rockin". Dk put on a show.

Freak is an upload machine.Just a friendly VOL fan announcement for my brethren:
@Freak uploads complete games of all the Football, Bball, and even some baseball games to youtube within a couple hours of their actual broadcast. So if you miss a game, or want to rewatch Knecht score 27 points in the 2nd half....its there and its free.
Thanks Freak for looking out for VOLS fans worldwide bro. Those of us old enough to remember the world before youtube, the internet etc remember how much it sucked missing games all the time. Many of them simply were not on TV unless you live in Tennessee so there was no way to see them. We are super spoiled these days, and its great.
I remember finding the best spots to pick up WLAC to listen to Mr. Ward call the games during work travel back in the 80s and 90s. Once I even called my mom and asked her to turn the radio on and set the phone down beside it so I could listen to the VOLS whip the gumps in 1983.Just a friendly VOL fan announcement for my brethren:

Have you ever seen 'emMy Pappaw (God rest his soul) always lived in south Knoxville off of Chapman Highway by Seymour HS where both my parents attended and met. Unfortunately i have been in Charlotte since 1988 and married a Carolina girl so I am stuck here. Back before the internet existed, i could only get the nationally televised games over here but was a rabid VOL fan since birth...about 1/3 of my non work clothes are Orange lol. I would call him and he would literally call the game for me play by play over the phone for as long as i wanted to listen. Granny handled duties if he had to pee and kept him stocked with drinks and snacks haha. It made their day to do that for me. It made my whole life. They made me a Tennessee fan from a toddler on up. Theres a newborn photo from the hospital where all you can see is my fat head and a UT orange mini football. In her 60s my little Granny could tell you who the backups were at important positions ...or who was hurt each week. I am almost 47 years old but I can remember exactly what it felt like to climb up in the recliner with my Pappaw and watch ball games on Saturdays growing up, before I ever started school. We still lived in Tennessee then (Chatt) but went home to Pappaws every weekend in Knoxville. I still remember exactly what it felt like to be there, and be so happy. It felt like Home. Knoxville still feels like home to me with my grandparents gone, but it isn't the same. I miss them so very much man. I was so lucky to have those 2 people that simply adored me, and later my own family. I hope you guys were as lucky as me and had amazing grandparents. So much more than I have ever deserved.

My wife and I laugh from time to time about comments that come out while I'm struggling to keep her on her feet ... or get her up off the floor.
A couple of the more notable ones are "Just hold on to my shoulders while I pull your pants down." And while she was washing me in the shower while I held her up "Are you washing or playing down there?" ... Answer was "Maybe both."
This whole episode (diagnosed as encephalopathy) relates back to her first round with COVID in 2020 with other complications including another round of COVID in January. We often work better together than we have in years, but other times it's really tiring and time consuming. Example: we started upstairs to bed at 10 last night and I got her in bed just after 11. First problem was she got to the top of the stairs and decided she couldn't go any further, so she collapsed right at the top step. Took forever to get her up on the floor and turned so I could pull her up ... and she immediately pulled us both down just as we got in the bedroom. She's too stubborn to text me to help, so today she fell across the elliptical trainer - with more weight on the side I couldn't get to - needed an engine hoist - but I managed. I gave her a another lecture about she should be sore enough by now to use some common sense and ask for help. When I asked why she went in there anyway and didn't text me, "I needed my glasses."
