2024 Presidential Race

Where are you getting the $500B number? Most have it under $200B and that includes state expenditures

The last article estimates a 68K deficit per immigrant over their lifetime. Yeah...they are sooo worth it. I believe over 1,100 per year, per household.

Likely very inflated and not a net cost. Also that's a 2 year figure not one

found that nearly half a trillion dollars is being lost in the healthcare, law enforcement, education, housing, and other sectors due to an influx of illegal immigration in the past two years.
Every other estimate I've seen of the net impact is under $150B

What was so wrong? "Mostly" is a bit much but he owns a huge part of the inflation. The covid assessment is spot on
I think mostly is apt. Here’s the figures on spending and debt increase.

Donald Trump$6,700,491,178,561.6033.1%

Joe Biden$2,499,993,043,258.108.8%

8.8%
8.8%

No idea where that comes from but those aren't correct

you cant look at it that way necessarily…depends on when money is appropriated and FY starts on Oct 1 of previous year..really a mess to determine without budgets, but Joe would normally be on hook for most of 2025.

True, but you get general idea that Biden hasn't controlled spending at all...

It was 28,754,708,782,950 on 10/16/21.

28 months later, it is 5.5 billion higher or almost $200 billion per month.

Does that include interest rate increases on the debt which theoretically no president has control of? If I remember correctly, interest rates didn’t really start increasing until Biden was in office?

True but there is a sizable contingent of Trump supporters that seem oblivious to the fact that he is one of the primary architects of the current inflation mess.
Im not arguing that..dang covid bs. I think people overlook supply chain issues are responsible as well. Deficit Spending is still sky high, but inflation has abatted some what.
