that’s not true though…. MLB will scout the arm and determine what his potential is…. With his arm…. He would have been highly drafted regardless.

I was skeptical, too, but I reached out to a MLB scout that I know when he decided to transfer. He said that it does put doubt in teams’ minds about whether he is durable enough to be a consistent starter. He may very well go high this year, but I think he’s got to show he won’t fade this year like he did his first 2 years. He’s talented, so he will get paid, but the indication I got was that it could definitely hurt his stock. Teams won’t pay big money for him to be a reliever. Tony V literally took one for the team, so good for him.
