No .... as the President of the United States, you don't encourage an attack on an ally over money. That is ridiculous. It's a classic example of cutting off your nose to spot your face. If you want to withdraw the United States from NATO, because we are carrying too much of the financial burden? Fine.

If you want to try and remove someone from NATO for not paying their fair share of the membership fees? Fine.

Saying that you will encourage Russia to "do whatever the hell they want," to a strategic ally because of money? Not Fine.

Both Kennedy and whoever posted the video are stupid. Countries have only joined NATO because they decide it's in
their national and strategic interest to do so--not because Western defense contractors, or Washington, talked them into it. Let's
