They didn't think Biden was important enough to tell him Austin was in the hospital.
Trump's point there makes a lot of sense. It's "pay your dues or else..."Can you explain why Trump's remarks at the rally in South Carolina, where he said that he would "encourage" Russia to attack a fellow NATO member and "do whatever the hell they wanted to with them," if they weren't paying their fees was met with a standing ovation from the crowd? That was weird.
If the principles of Republican voters were as intellectually independent of their party's leadership, and superior to those of Democrats as you wish to believe, you would not be nominating this irrational lunatic for the 3rd straight Presidential Election cycle.
No .... as the President of the United States, you don't encourage an attack on an ally over money. That is ridiculous. It's a classic example of cutting off your nose to spot your face. It was an irrational thing to say, and very reckless and irresponsible of Trump. It's poor leadership from an impulsive speaker, who can't keep his emotions under control.Trump's point there makes a lot of sense. It's "pay your dues or else..."
As a taxpayer I'm glad we have someone who seeks to keep these country's feet to the fire

If you want to withdraw the United States from NATO, because we are carrying too much of the financial burden? Fine.
If you want to try and remove someone from NATO for not paying their fair share of the membership fees? Fine.
Saying that you will encourage Russia to "do whatever the hell they want," to a strategic ally because of money? Not Fine.
It is hard to get your mind around what Trump said at that rally in South Carolina. He basically said that he would encourage Russia to invade a sovereign nation, potentially leading to a war which could kill hundreds of thousands of people .... a nation that could possibly be a strategic ally of the United States ..... because of unpaid NATO membership fees? SERIOUSLY?It's pretty clear that trump is a Russian asset and mentally deranged and a threat to U.S. security. He is the most irresponsible and treasonous president in U.S. history. That's how bad he is.
Trump was basically talking about starting World War III .... and in this hypothetical scenario, evidently, the United States would either be neutral or perhaps even on Russia's side! Listen to his tone. All of Trump's anger is directed towards our NATO allies, and membership fees. None is reserved for this hypothetical Russian military aggression - which Trump says that he would actually encourage. We're talking NATO vs. Russia here, Earl. This is not something you play games with and peddle your "taxpayer" nonsense.
I Agree...with most of this except during this first term he did exactly that..threaten to withdraw and expect everyone else to pay their share and he was met with everyone on the left tore him up for it...his comments about Russia were crazyDonald Trump's comments were irrational. They should unnerve anyone with common sense.
Insisting that our fellow NATO members pay their fair share is great. Even threatening an American withdraw from NATO is not out of bounds. Trump did much more than that, however. Trump said that he would encourage Russia to attack an ally of the United States over unpaid fees, and "do whatever the hell they wanted to them." That is just plain crazy.
... and I don't think there is ANYTHING Trump could say at a rally that wouldn't be met with a thunderous applause.
I get that Trump’s style is off putting to many but I generally agree with his policiesNo .... as the President of the United States, you don't encourage an attack on an ally over money. This involved more than just an abrasive "style."I get that Trump’s style is off putting to many but I generally agree with his policies

... and the MAGA crowd either isn't intelligent enough to comprehend what he was calling for - or they support it. He received a standing ovation. The funny thing? These people wear American flags and consider themselves to be "patriots."
Sorry .... but you can't convince me that anything would be worse than having Trump elected again. He is an irrational and unhinged lunatic. He proves it all the time. That speech in South Carolina is consistent with past behavior. The guy is just plain crazy.Starting?
Under Biden, we’ve got Russia vs Ukraine and all that comes with it. Israel vs Hamas (Iran), and all that comes with it. China, Iran, the top players in Europe all know the US currently has a weak senile puppet for a President. And an even weaker former President behind the scenes calling the shots.
WW3 is here brother. And if we elect Biden again in November, y’all better get ready. It’s going from bad to worse.
I have an easy time agreeing with the concept that a weak, ineffective American president facilitates conflict in other parts of the world. I have a difficult time quantifying that concept into the tangible impact. I find it difficult to predict where, why, and how conflict with manifest.Starting?

Fair observations.I have an easy time agreeing with the concept that a weak, ineffective American president facilitates conflict in other parts of the world. Both sides make those types of prognostications, too. Ds routinely say that hard liners make our enemies nervous and uncertain. Uncertainty, in their minds, leads to breakdowns in communication. Culminating in erosion of agreements, expansion of foreign military, and combativeness with America on the world stage.
Rs make prognostications like you've made in your post. I believe both sides are sincere in their concerns.
There are many moments when I think our influence on the world (for diplomacy or to antagonize) is greatly exaggerated. What I would like to see is AMerica serving as a beacon for freedom and prosperity for all people worldwide to have hope.
I fully understand that unless I’m a liberal working for a liberal MSM outlet, or a liberal politician, I will not be convincing you of anything.Sorry .... but you can't convince me that anything would be worse than having Trump elected again.
