The ones that created the term “conspiracy theory” wanted to create the illusion that there are no conspiracies just theories about them. Seems to be working.Carnell Tate?? Try Jeremiah Smith. The NCAA would try and have us believe that the best high school football player in America (and, maybe, the best WR prospect since Julio Jones) signed with OSU, and not one single word was uttered about NIL. I mean, how many articles and quotes and reports have we seen, stating that the first thing asked about of coaching staffs, by recruits, is NIL; but, a big timer like Smith...OSU must have told him they play fair, and by the rules, and he said, "oh, thats cool...where do i sign".
Then again, it's just a conspiracy theory, according to the smart people around here. None of this is really happening...we've made it all up underneath our "tinfoil hats". OSU, Bama, UGA...they're all on the up and up, nothing shady going on at those places at all; and, the State of Tennessee really isn't in court, fighting to keep us away from "lack of institutional control" because of a plane ride.
That's what gives me comfort at night...knowing that I'm crazy and eat up with conspiracy theories, and none of these of things are really happening to my beloved school, while our bitter rivals get away with murder (literally) and laugh at us. Oh, wait...that's not really happening either, right. Someone might want to tell that to Jamea Harris.
UK and Florida are lesser versions of UNC, especially in transition. But, from a style perspective, similar. I like what I saw against UK for sure. That quote was about our offense. We like to move the ball, which is absolutely correct. We do better when we get their defense off the ball, creating unguarded shots for every level of our offense.
On defense we are better against teams that don’t run because it allows us to get in position and disrupt their flow and passing lanes. UNC is an example of a transition offense and they put 100 on us.
I love how this kid plays. He's not 'that'guy... And that's ok. He plays his ass off and I appreciate it.How about a random Friday Roman Harrison appreciation post....
Kid was an undersized DT in high school and earned an offer here by wowing our staff with his athleticism at a camp. When he signed, I really felt we stole one. And I suppose when you consider he gave us 5 years of playing time, we kind of did. While he was never a dominant force, per se... he was always around the ball. In fact, I paid particular attention to him this year and I swear he was a half second late on a sack probably a dozen times. It got to the point where I was hoping beyond hope he'd get one. It was almost comical how close he'd get only to just barely miss the opportunity. But if you're that close, that means you're applying pressure and affecting the play.
I wouldn't be surprised - should he flash his athleticism at the Tennessee Pro Day - to see him get picked up as an UDFA . Reviewing his recruit thread, he had a 39" vertical and ran a 4.6 forty. Scouts assuredly would like that.
How many SEC teams have won the SEC tournament and the NCAA tournament?I would love to win either SEC title...but I think losing to MSU and especially USC at home probably ruined the regular season title chances. I would love to win the SEC tourney...but..that is just a smaller version of the crap shoot that is the Dance....I also just think winning 9-10 straight at the end is tough..6 is plenty hard enough, and if given the choice I would rather go to a FF versus winning the SEC tournament championship.
And that doesn't require collective bargaining.Schools were redoing perfectly good weight rooms every 3 years. Because they had cash to burn. All of that can be redirected to player pay. Let schools contribute to collectives. Then they can tell donors, give to us and we will route to the greatest area of need. A smart school would work to get their collective funded via endowment and pay players off of interest.
