Recruiting Football Talk VII

Couple of cops got shot up here by where I live last night. Shooter still on foot in the area.
I heard about it this morning. I will not share my true thoughts on what I think should happen to the shooter. I will say that I feel awful for the family and pray that they are somehow able to endure what has to be profound grief.

We didn't know it, but I think Heupel was the perfect coach for us, all things considered at the time. I wouldn't trade him for any coach, college or pro. I dont think any other coach could do what he's done here so far. I think we're in the playoffs this year and holding the title belt in '25.
He was definitely not the coach we wanted, and was just as definitely the coach we needed. I honestly would not want anyone else right now.

It’s ridiculous
They wonder why we have a teacher shortage
Well they are underpaid and not supported

But the teachers union sucks
My wife is a retired HS teacher. She swears by TEA (Tennessee Education Association). I think they are among the most self-serving and worthless organizations I have ever seen. Pure trash.

The NCAA is pissed because Heup has done such a great job of steering through the wreckage that they wanted to last a decade or more. That great scene when we beat Saban in Neyland and the fireworks I suppose nearly gave the NCAA a stroke.

The SEC had to intervene this year with completely corrupt officiating all season long to try to hold us down until the NCAA could spring it's crooked new attack.

People forget that Heup already won't get his first full recruiting class until 2028, even without this crooked new attack from the NCAA. But Nico sure looked good in that bowl game, didn't he?! Must have nearly given the 'AA a stroke to see us win like that.
I agree with this year but our problem was that Joe wasn't able to process on the level of Hendon. As much as I love Joe and truly think he is a VFL, if HH is QB we win 10-11 games again this year.

Do you think reality has set in for Bama fans that Saban is no longer their head coach? It probably won't really set in for a lot of them until the first game, a few more at the first loss and reality should slap the rest of them in the mouth by loss #3 or 4, 😂. I would love for them to miss a bowl game this season, while we make the playoffs! 😂 😂 😂
Thank goodness for the twitters, so we can monitor their decent into madness and oblivion.

Imo same thing is happening with the LVs that happened to the football program. As long as the administration is ok with accepting mediocrity, the program will be mediocre, to the point the LVs are no longer relevant in the public eye (recruits). It’s already been allowed to go on way too long. Holly got way more time than she should have, and now pretty Holly is too. I don’t know why the administration can’t see that it’s harder to dig yourself out of that hole once the shine of the program fades. I wasn’t surprised the previous ADs and administration let it linger, I am surprised DW has.
I think that Kellie's equity has run out. I am sure DW will be gracious about it, but I don't see her coming back next year.

I agree, but in the Bama game in particular, the calls and no-calls were egregious. The blatant holding on the Bama TD after half was awful, then on the ensuing kickoff the officials used a hand wave from somebody on our front line (40 yards away from the reception) as evidence of a fair catch to pin us inside the 5. I don't know that I have ever seen that before. From then on, it was clear how the game was going to be officiated in the second half.

We also shouldn't forget that Joe was doing plenty enough in the first half to win that game.

They left my mom high and dry, especially towards the end of her career in teaching. The last 5 years of her teaching career, she had to change schools every single year because she kept getting bumped. How does a teacher with close to 30 years of seniority get bumped from her job that dang much? She even got bumped by a teacher that wasn't even qualified to be teaching the class she was getting the job for and only had like 3-4 years of experience. TEA did squat. They can get bent.

It’s not hard to see how the maturity and competitiveness of Grant would not mix well with Kyrie and Luka.
I don’t know too much about nba but haven’t gotten the impression Luka was immature or drama queen.

Grants got a big personality. Also has a big brain, heart, and drive. I would suspect maybe his “rubbing people the wrong way” has more to do with the leaderships opinion of him than the players. Not a good look for Dallas’ future if they couldn’t mesh with a team player like Grant.

The only thing they’re good for is taking in money.

That’s wild that she is that loyal to them and you view them wholesale the opposite way. Unfortunately, would appear it is a growing issue across the country (the state of our primary education system).

The district probably didn't want to have to pay your mom cause the graduate was cheaper if I had to guess.
