If there are no NIL rules, then how and why would the NCAA be investigating anyone (including UT) for NIL rules violations?

They need to justify their jobs. Without any power they have no value so are scrambling to prove their worth.

With the SEC-B1G committee, and this major news, it feels to me like our beef with the NCAA will basically be moot in a year or so.

I think our focus needs to be on protecting the upcoming season and keeping recruiting on track. Long-term damage doesn’t feel realistic, at this point.

Is it known who the interviewer was, if there was an interview, and where the interview originally appeared, if it did appear, before what presented itself as a citation in the internet stories appeared? Not to say or deny that Bama fixers haven't spoken with the interviewer, if there was an interview, or that any recordings, if there were a recording (in lieu of note taking), or notes, may have been lost.

What I saw for myself was a news story quoting the dad as denying that he spoke with "Coach DeBoer" or anyone in "his camp," which is ambiguous but most usually would mean the football staff. Has the dad said anything about Bama boosters or the Bama (on-campus) collective's representatives? I'm asking. I don't know.

Anybody, even a parent, can say anything. But that doesn't mean it's true, as much as we'd love to think it is.

I’d side more with it being closer to a FACT when the story from an unaffiliated Athletic writer came out a week or two ago. Now with recent developments, it smacks of DAMAGE CONTROL. Sounds like Fiti and his dad like Deboer and don’t want to get him in trouble.

We play Auburn but not Bama again. We get SC again (need to get some revenge there). We need to win the next 3 and all are pretty winnable.

We play both back to back. Most everyone concedes that the biggest factor in the SEC championship this year is Birmingham scheduling. Bama's schedule has been a big factor.

No, I'm saying we've seen these things too many times. Somebody was misquoted or it was taken out of context, or there's not enough proof, etc.

I so much want Bama and UGA and others like them to get caught and punished severely for all the things they've been rumored to have done. OK, and for us not to be the target so often.

But my problem is, we've heard it all before and it leads to nothing. What I believe about it or want to happen is irrelevant. I just want THEM to have to pay for once. Rumors and accusations clearly aren't enough. I'm no longer gonna get my hopes up based on such.

recently bought a Trek HT. Thinking id spent, what was a lot of money to me, and since more for things like dropper post, light etc. It occurs to me...

1- Seeing the HS kids riding around on Full Suspension Santa Cruz bikes in neighborhood, should be thankful. Your bike costs more than my car. Back in my day, we had a Mongoose, and we liked it!

2- Thinking MTB is easy. My old ass went out one day. Next...

We'll never know how an embattled and excited FSU team...with their top defense and 2nd string QB...would've played vs a quite beatable Michigan team...

But the committee didn't give them their opportunity...meanwhile their Bama team faceplanted and now they have to live with it.
